I think I mentioned in another thread about playing 6 degrees of separation with a certain band. It was quite fun. Anyways I first got the idea for it when I read about this actor who appeared in a lot of movies (I can't quite remember his name -- Ham or something?) and a lot of other actors/actresses could be linked to this guy. Sorry I dont remember the name.

So anyways I'd like to do this for a certain guy with goofy hats and large teeth and his backing band.

So give me a musician you are interested in. I'll see what I can pull up. Note that a degree of seperation is defined by me. I know for the movie thing it was movies appeared in but when I played it with my friend the definition was a lot looser. I'll try to keep it sensible though.

Also, no trolly. Don't post an artist just to prove I can't find a link. Also it's generally not a good idea to post an artist in a weird genre that's far away, because I'm too lazy to go digging through allmusic or whatever until I find it. This game works best for the genres around rock and roll. Ones I find to be trolly will simply ignore.

You guys might be surprised beyond the ones that nearly everyone knows about. Give it a try.

QED. The Heartbreakers did a song called "Don't Bring Me Down"... also done by the Animals, though I think it was written by someone else. (In the Playback booklet, Stan Lynch commented about how the thing he "brought to the band was Eric Burdon and the Animals.") It shows up on Pack Up the Plantation.

Edit: Also "I'm Crying" which I believe appears on an EP called Bad Girl Boogie.

Hit a dead-end for both those listed. To be honest its a bit tricky to find stuff for a lot of that sorts of genres (opera? classical? I'm not sure exactly what it is from the Wikipedia page and I'm stupid when it comes to that fancy).

To be honest, I shouldnt have called this six degrees. I'm too lazy to do more than one or two degrees.

EDIT: Ok. I just noticed this. Have fun.

    1. Phil Spector & his Wall of Sound (it is mentioned as being influenced on the Wikipedia page)
    2. On the Wikipedia page linked, at least several of the listed artists are one degree away.
