Six-Months War; Take 4

From: New Zealand
To: Australia, the United Kingdom

We would like to make it a point to say that we are being governered independently on a local level, and wish to maintain that. We would have nothing to gain from being forced (as it would be) to work with Australia, as we already collaborate economically and militarily. We have been given the right of self-administration, and hope that Australia hasn't been given the right to take that away.

The United Kingdom understands its relationship with the dominions to essentially consist of a common foreign policy, economic and military cooperation, consultation between the UK and the dominion in question on all matters of import. We understand ourselves to have a right - a right that we have no intention of exercising without extremely good reason - to veto legislation and exercise any other royal prerogatives through the Governor-General, but we would like to state from our outset our intention to leave our dominions as far as possible to their own devices, although we would like to be kept informed about all matters.

We do not wish to change the current arrangements regarding dominions in any fashion unless in any particular where an undisputed improvement can be made, and we look forward to continuing mutually beneficial cooperation with all our dominions indefinitely.

We would like to request that for the sake of future friendly cooperation between our nations that our traditional land be returned to us. The Great War is over and you have no further need to occupy this area. In fact region is costing you money and resentment may grow against you there. Please respect the will of the people there.

I will do my best to provide government information to those nations that asked for it. Keep in mind, I will allow player action to best facilitate what type of government they have/who the ruling parties are, at least most of the time. I'm heading to work now though, and don't have the time to really go into detail; those will be posted tonight.

Also, due to some recent things, and conversations, I must really emphasize that you read the front page. In it's entirety. Specifically, the treaties your nation has signed, who was involved in those treaties.. things like that. And also the encyclopedia. Not because I put work into making the front page helpful, mostly to avoid some nasty situations I see coming up.

Absolutely you can.

Putting centuries of doctrinal differences aside, the House of al-Saud and the House of Qajar have agreed to the Treaty of Dammam between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Persia, wherein:

1. The signatories establish the Pact of the Crescent, hereafter known as the Crescent.

2. The signatories agree to a full military alliance.

3. The signatories agree to guarantee the freedom of commerce to flow through the Straits of Hormuz, and request that the British Empire agree to this guarantee as well.

4. The signatories agree to work together to promote stability in the Middle East, and to ensure the rights of Muslims everywhere.

We would also like to invite Afghanistan to join the Crescent.

@TLK: Do you have a specific format you like for orders, or can i use my best judgment?

We are willing to return the Alaskan territories we have occupied, however, without our close proximity we fear your ability to defend them and yourselves from foreign aggression.

As such, we would be happy to return Alaska to you if you would only come under the wing of the United States as a Protectorate under our aegis.

OOC: Interesting - so rather than TL-191s Democrat-Socialist party system, we've got a Progressive-Democrat system instead. Thats new (but I can work with that. :p)

Is there a link to the treaty between the United States and the Confederate States?

Right, divisions are different sizes and whatnot from the old NES. Unless I am told otherwise on the basis of mod edict (which I would of course appreciate to some end) or sensible logic, I am going to work on the following equivalence, which I have tried to work out in good faith.

Treaties said:
14. The British military will be forced to limit its size and strength to the following for the next 10 years:
-33 Capital Ships
-20 Armored Cruisers (or lesser capital ships)
-100 Support Vessels (no more than 50 Cruisers or 70 Destroyers)
-35 Submarines

-6 Zeppelins Squadrons (or heavy bombers)
-20 Fighter Squadrons

-70 Infantry Divisions
-35 Cavalry Brigades
-40 Artillery Brigades
-18 Marine Divisions
-30 Specialized Infantry (18 Divisions of each type - Marine, Mountain, etc)
-3 Special Force Brigades
-5 Armored Car Brigades
-NO WARKERS
Once the first 10 years are up, the limitations will be discussed again, which could either lead to no change, more lenient limitations, or a complete abolishment of military limitations.

My reckoning of approximately the same thing said:
-33 Capital Ships
-120 other surface ships (no more than 70 cruisers or 70 destroyers)
-35 Submarines

-6 Zeppelins Squadrons (or heavy bombers)
-20 Fighter Squadrons

-110 divisions of all types
-NO WARKERS

Being a signatory of the Treaty of London, I think that is ok, though ships are relatively the same, so I don't see why you needed to increase the support ships by 20

He hasn't. There are no armoured cruisers or 'lesser capital ships' in this game now, there are just cruisers and capital ships. So the armoured cruisers became cruisers, and got added onto the support ships.

I've included the 20 armoured cruisers as the same category as support vessels, because they have been generally subsumed into the category of cruisers in the stats.

Edit: crosspost!

Ah well, it is fine I guess, unless Agent thinks otherwise, he is world superpower after all ;)

With Italy obviously being number two :mischief:
