Now we all know that the legendary GDB has been included,

but is this biggest, baddest, most awesome unit in civ 5 is the

real secret unit the producer claimed?
Spoiler :

Special Secret Unit. Producer Dennis Shirk: "We are adding a really, really awesome
unit with an 'interesting' title to it. And you have to play a certain way to unlock it
. It just isn't going to happen by accident; it's a combination of things you'll have
to do. I know I'm being vague about it, but it's probably the most awesome unit in the
game. You're not going to find it in the Civilopedia or the unit list, you're just
going to find out that you can build it during one session."

Additional information: from Civilopedia

Spoiler :
The "Giant Death Robot" is a giant bipedal mechanical robot armed with a variety of
missiles, Gatling gun arms, laser-beam eyes and a deadly kung-fu punch. Although not
currently found in the modern battlefield, no doubt across the world governments and
evil corporations are secretly developing these metal behemoths even as we speak.
When these robots come into service, all of the world's other weaponry will become
obsolete, and humanity's fate will be decided by a climactic battle between armies of
good and evil Giant Death Robots in the streets of downtown Tokyo (assuming that
the giant radioactive monsters don't get us first.)

things to discuss people

1. If the GDB is a secret unit or not?
2. If it is a secret unit. then we could not just simply build it by uranium
how could we build it then.
3. If GDB is not a secret unit, what is that secret one then? and how
can we get it!!!

Feel free to discuss as you wish to kill time. ENJOY PEOPLE! :)

1) GDR is not the secret unit
2) N/A
3) Giant Radioactive Monkeys. Or Elvis. Or Sid.

I say that there is a small chance of the GiantRadioactiveMonster being the secret unit. Or Sid Meier in flesh and pixels.

But overall I`m very skeptical. About the existance of UFO`s.

Spot on!!! there must be the radioactive monster!

and the way to get it is to nuke Japan and awaken Godzilla!

The SID unit will be an oil (not uranium) consuming GDR contemporary using more advanced techniques. It will be a specialized GDR killer.

The description says, "if the radio active monsters don't get us first", maybe their are radio active monsters as the secret unit. :O

The GDR is in the Civilopedia so I am sure it isn't the secret unit.

It'll be a fun Easter Egg to find. :)

Sid Meier, the secret unit.

As he gazes upon the enemy city, suddenly a great pillar of flame comes down from the heavens, and burns it off the face of the earth. Also, eye-lasers.

It is clearly the Chuck Norris Uber unit.

I know I posted this same link yesterday, but I'm pretty sure the secret unit is going to be a former Civ leader.
:king:
Heavens bless you Lyoncet for revealing pyrrhiccomedy to me - I hadn't had such a laugh for a long time, I'm currently reading about the Hundred Years' war.

The only similar thing I can think about is a WWII simple version by Angus McLeod

Thanks once again, great find:goodjob:

And as for the secret unit, I only hope that it won't be more silly as GDR

Mindworms anyone?:)
