OOC: I suppose I could just wait until one guy dies like what happened basically every time there were two claimants in OTL. On the other hand, we could just have a co-Emperor. This happened several times too in history. I really don't want to waste all my resources fighting my own people.

Currently, it seems that if you rebel, you will be placed in a greater partnership with Constantinople as an Allied state instead of merely a province, your independence will be guaranteed, and you gain complete domestic control while still providing troops to Constantinople. We find that interesting, very interesting indeed.

Works for me, I've basically only gotten stronger. Also, you haven't seen me all friendly to the Greek rebels. And now, basically the entire Empire under my direct control is Greek majority. So deal with it.

The only thing I find pointless is your decision to kill Christians side by side with Muslims, Heathens and Heretics instead of many, many, MANY other things you could do instead. *I* don't care if you believe the pope to be a Great Satanist or my mother to be an Ogre. *I* do care that you intend to massacre every Christian from Apulia to Brittany because they believe that St. Peter's role as ordained by Christ shall be carried down to the Bishops of Rome and I will prevent you from doing that very unchristian act however I can.

There are much better things I would rather do than kill Christians or Muslims, such as punish the great Massacreor of Innocents, Destroyer of Churches, Slayer of Christians who dwell in the Holy Land and reclaim it for Christaindom, be it Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic or elsewhile. Such as supporting churches and spreading the faith peacefully. Such as maintaining the faith within our borders. Such as sustaining the ancient treaties and pacts of the Christian world. Such as arguing for the return of various lands to the Roman Empire. Such as seeking resolution of the Schism between Catholicism and Orthodoxy in a great council.

I am a very busy man, and there are much I would rather do than worry about being destroyed by man, such as my fate in the eyes of God. Something obviously you have never felt as your orders condemn one Christian after another.

As far as I know, the Pope has NEVER brought the Orthodox churches of the east out of communion. In fact, he offered to bring them into communion and council as recently as 25 years before the Orthodox Restoration, which are refused by all Orthodox states and persons.

OOC: The truth doesn't matter, all that matters is the word of the strong. In other words, stop whining. OOC, it's obvious to all of us who's being aggressive: the Muslims are being aggressive to the Copts, the Catholics are being aggressive to the Muslims, the Orthodox are being aggressive to the Catholics. What I don't understand is that the Catholics are trying to entice a third power bloc to attack them, when their chances of just a white peace in the war are already 50/50 at best, probably worse. Oh, and this civil war isn't all you hoped it would be, is it?

Also, the Pope de jure brought the Catholic church out of communion with the Orthodox churches in OTL by no longer recognizing the Roman Emperor as the heir to Rome's legacy, by crowning Charlemagne as "Roman Emperor." Before that relations had been pretty good. In this NES, things are a little unclear because the Roman Empire was pagan at the time the HRE was formed.

Yeah, this civil war sucks. . good diploing there, I'll grant you that. Personally, I wonder how SK works with NPC vassal states, since in PC vassal states I had quite a bit of freedom with Nuke, especially as he started to withdraw.

The communion part is confusing to me too. IRL the pope excommunicated all Orthodox churchs while some Normans held him captive. Before then, I could see how that would cause the inevitable slope. In here, it is more arbitrary thing that was set.

Also, both IC and POOC, I like all muslims except the Vandals for raiding, Castile for their nastyness, Badajoz for past history of saber-waving, the Fatimids for babying themselves and the Zengids. All other muslims we either don't know about or are cool with. Meghreb, Barcelona, Abbasids, ect.

The King was converted, not a prince or a princess. There is a major difference. The king rules a country, not his children. His children will if they wait, but in Scotland, they did not. Therefore, the christians were the aggressors and we were keeping the law.

I'll say this one last time, They broke off into splinter countries. After that, they fought against eachother. The true king, defeated them all one by one and reconquered Brythonia, then Catavalu declared war on us and attacked because we were crushing the rebellions. We turned around, destroyed their army, finished destroying the rebellions and took over a good chunk of Catavalu as well. Nowhere do I see Forn Sithr agression.

Also, do you want to know the conduct of your missionaries? You need only ask.

Brythonia did have a true king back then. The High King. The High King was converted and the other kings disagreed.
