Hey all
So I bought this game months ago and it worked fine but each time I played it it got slower and slower. Then one day it started having a black triangle that sort of mimicked the air column...it looked 3D and pinpointed the center of the screen from one of the corners and moved with the globe. I thought that if I upgraded and added more RAM it would solve this problem but I'm apparently wrong. Now, when I open the game, the videos are fine. The Menus are fine. But the startscreen globe is a mess. I don't know how else to explain it besides it looks like that the graphics aren't dumping as it rotates. There are lines, blurs, crosshatching, and junk everywhere. Most of the terrain is black and it is impossible to even see a unit. The memory upgrade made it run faster, but htat's about it.
I've got the latest patch (as of 5/30/06), I'm running XP with an ATI Radeon 9600 Series chip. Any ideas? I've been so desperate I've been playing conquests for the past month or so just to get my fix.
