Slumdog Millionaire

What's the tune that starts up at 1:12? I heard it in other trailers.

And yeah, I'll take your word that the film's good, might see it.

I saw it and really enjoyed it. It was funny and sweet.

Dev Patel always struck me as the weakest actor in the Skins cast... perhaps his character just wasn't written well.

I'm not sure. I'd like to know too actually. I don't think it's on the soundtrack.

It's a bloody awesome film. I was very impressed by Dev's performance. What makes this movie excellent is a superb script that wraps up nearly every loose end

The movie was excellent. The only complaint I've heard is that it was contrived, but that was the whole point of the theme of destiny.

Many movies that try to be feel-good are schmaltzy crap that forget that for audiences to feel good, they have to care about the characters. This movie wasn't just feel-good, it was life-affirming.

Surprisingly little. Only at the end. I was pleased. But then it was made by some British guy not an Indian.

Anyone know why the older brother dumped money into the bathtub and sat in it before killing Javed Khan? Just a theatrical flourish? Or is it supposed to represent some sort of theme? Money can kill, money is the root of all evil.

I really enjoyed this movie, even though I had pretty low expectations going into it. Two thumbs up

Ughh, some stupid bollywood movie.

Ughh, some stupid bollywood movie.

From Danny Boyle, director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, comes the story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

Yes exactly. How does it feel to be wrong about everything from politics to movies?

well it looks like one. There all Indian.

and your political views, my friend are wrong. But lets not argue about that right now.

I see. Your only qualm with the movie is that "there all Indian." :shifty: The plot thickens...

If you live where I live, you will learn to hate Indians too.
