Here's my latest leaderhead, Hippolyta: Queen of the Amazons

Lots of thanks to other graphic artists on this. Man she looks great no?

Hippolyta is an Amazonian ruler who appeared in Sid Meier's Civilization II as the female leader of the Greek Civilization. Hippolyta and her Amazons are interesting characters in Greek mythology. It is entirely possible that a fierce tribe of women really did exist at one point, inspiring people to memorialize them in myths and legends. Greek culture and mythology venerated many powerful women like Hera, Athena, and Artemis and the ultimate triumphs over the Amazons in Greek mythology may have more to do with the concept of the Amazons as a barbarian tribe than with their gender.

    Spoiler :

Most myths agree that Hippolyta was the daughter of Ares, the god of war. Ares gave Hippolyta a special girdle to signify her power and authority over the Amazons. As the leader of a tribe of powerful women, Hippolyta was involved in several battles, including the Amazonomachy, a legendary battle which raged between the Greeks and the Amazons.

Hippolyta also appears in the legends about the labors of Hercules. According to the stories, Hercules was asked to retrieve the girdle of Hippolyta for Admete, the daughter of Eurystheus. When Hercules reached the Amazons, Hippolyta was so intrigued by him that she gave up the girdle willingly. In some stories, the goddess Hera was so enraged by this easy victory that she snuck in among the Amazons and claimed that Hercules was planning to trick them, leading the women to attack the ship of Hercules. During the ensuing struggle, Hercules kills Hippolyta and takes flight in some tales.

How good that you didn't make the semi-realistic chest change which is needed for a proper amazonian LH :D.

Made another ha, I'm on a roll here's another leaderhead. Gunnhild- wife of Eric Bloodaxe, 10th century Viking king

Thanks to SaibotLieh, theCapo and charle88

Gunnhild, the leader for the Viking Civilization in Civilization 2, is a character that appears in the Icelandic Sagas, according to which she was the wife of Eric Bloodaxe (king of Norway 930–34, 'King' of Orkney c. 937–54, and king of Jórvík 948–49 and 952–54). Many of the details of her life are disputed, including her parentage. Although she is treated in the sagas as a historical person, even her historicity is a matter of some debate. Gunnhild appears prominently in many Norse sagas, including Fagrskinna, Egil's Saga, Njal's Saga, and Heimskringla. What details of her life are known come largely from Icelandic sources, which generally asserted that the Icelandic settlers had fled from Harald's tyranny. While the historicity of such sources as the Landnamabok is disputed, the perception that Harald had exiled or driven out many of their ancestors led to an attitude among Icelanders generally hostile to Erik and Gunnhild. Scholars such as Gwyn Jones therefore regard some of the episodes reported in them as suspect.

Nice work. :goodjob: Gunnhild looks a bit fragile for a Viking Queen and I guess with the Elizabeth animation she behaves rather polite, but I like contradictions like that. :)

My the way, there is already a Shaherezade leaderhead available:

Maybe you already like that one. ;)

Besides that, i'd say the helmet has to be moved a bit down, it doesn't look for me if it was sitting right there.
    The rest is nice :).

I wonder if Katherines greeting animation (with the hair) could be missused as angry animation (like trying to get the sword from the back). Would probably not look that good, but that just came to my mind right now.

Well, the images of Gunnhilde, mother of kings, I found on were from wikipedia such as:
    Spoiler :

See she isn't even wearing armor, just a sort of tunic thing but she kind of reminded me in that photo of Eowyn (Miranda Otto) in LOTR so I kinda just based her more an interpretation of Eowyn using the tools I have (photoshop and Niftools but not Blender which I can't get going).
    Spoiler :

    :goodjob:

I like the Gothness of that Shaherezade but to me it looks too identical to Isabella as is.

The helmet is a bit large but normal sized it was clipping with her hair a bit. I'm no master blenderer or anything so I did that best I could, I think it looks fine as is no? I'd prefer it too high to clipping.

Okay, if it's a technical thing, then let it where it is. It's not a big thing, only minor.

Here's my latest leaderhead, Ishtar: Babylonian Goddess of love, fertility, and war.

Ishtar was the ancient Sumero-Babylonian goddess of love and fertility. She is often described as the daughter of Anu, the god of the air. In most of the myths concerning her, she is described as an evil, heartless, women who destroyed her mates and lovers. Her greatest lover was the farm god Tammuz, who is similar to the Greek Adonis. After he died she went into the underworld to retrieve him but her efforts were vain and she returned to the living world alone.

Ishtar also has a prominent role in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Ishtar encounters Gilgamesh and asks him to be her husband. Gilgamesh rejects Ishtar’s offer, citing her mistreatment of her former lovers and wondering why he would be any different. In fury, Ishtar asks her father Anu, God of Heaven, to unleash the Bull of Heaven so that it could attack Gilgamesh and avenge her. Anu hesitates, but when Ishtar threatens to raise all the dead from the underworld, he gives in. The Bull is set loose, and after a ferocious battle, Gilgamesh and Enkidu manage to slay it. After the battle when Gilgamesh and Enkidu are resting, Ishtar stands upon the walls of the city (which is Uruk) and curses Gilgamesh. Enkidu tears off the Bull's right thigh and throws it in Ishtar's face, saying, "If I could lay my hands on you, it is this I should do to you, and lash your entrails to your side." Then Ishtar called together "her people, the dancing and singing girls, the prostitutes of the temple, the courtesans," and had them mourn for the Bull of Heaven.

The green eyes look imho a bit strange, but fit maybe to the described cruelness.

 but i somehow don't remember that part about the bull. Okay, was some time ago when i read the epos.
