Why? Because of that leak that we don't know if it's true or not.
Edit: This speed reader missed the first part of the sentence. :o

My first thought was Richard the Lion Heart but I know we already have an English civ in the game. The sword and shield look very Norma to me.

It better not be Tamar of Georgia. I don't want Georgia. Come on Firaxis! Give us real civs!

Wouldn't even surprise me if we got Italy or Carthage as the last civ, next to Zulu, Celts/Scotland and Georgia. Ottomans and Inca's seems to be less and less likely. I'm especially concerned about the Inca's, since there is still no hint of them at all (the only hint is the possible mention of them in a certain article but that could have been a typo/mistake or whatever).

Portuguese symbols have been everywhere yet Lisbon is a city-state. Does not make sense.

Not sure if already posted but this is what comes up when you google "Lion of Georgia":

    http://myocn.net/the-lion-of-georgia/

Queen, Saint, and Stateswoman: Commemorating the ‘Lion of Georgia’

If anyone insists to you that Christianity represses women or that Christian women are always under the control of oppressive male patriarchs, St. Queen Tamar of Georgia’s life and reign (1160-1213, r. 1178-84 with her father, and as sole monarch from 1184-1213) is one of the most profound historical examples you can bring up to refute this claim. The most powerful ruler in Georgian history, Tamar presided over the medieval kingdom’s Golden Age, during which it experienced an unparalleled cultural and religious renaissance under the wise Queen’s careful rule.

"kasteti", although sounds quite Georgian is actually French word meaning "head breaker". I assume those things were called somehow else originally.

Tamar herself became a meme in these forums in the lead-up to the release of Civ 6 as people speculated she was one of the leaders on the blurry poster bite is referring to (damn ninja).

Well, that's 1/4 of my personal guesses correct already. And I don't buy the leak.

Well done by the way, figuring it out in 10 minutes still. :)

An exclusive leak of Tamar's Civ 6 appearance:

Leader Ability: zero diplomatic visibility and identity hidden upon meeting any civ
