Sneak Peek at Composite Victory Type Rankings - so far...

I don't get this. You're taking 4 strength off from eagle warriors because of the Deity bonus, but doesn't the same bonus apply if you fight with your own warriors? Yes, if the AI gets Oligarchy before you, you will have the same strength, but if you didn't have eagle warriors, you're fighting them with 20 strength warriors! (eg -8).

I would argue 40 vs 65 is sorta irrelevant, since regular warriors would be completely useless anyways! You might as well be fighting them with scouts. (btw, EW vs warrior is only a slightly better matchup for the warrior as warrior vs scout is for the scout.)

With regular warriors I'm not likely to go on the offensive, but with EWs you're basically wasting them if you don't. So yeah, regular warriors are even weaker, it's just that I'm far less likely to mount my entire strategy around them.

When it comes to defending my 1-2 cities that early in the game - which is what I'm normally doing on deity - I'd rather have 4 weaker warriors than 2 stronger eagle warriors.

Well, that's my point. The cost ratio doesn't matter if an attack with plain warriors isn't even possible in the first place, plus the greater ease of clearing camps or defending attack from civs and barbs, and of course you still get one for free (+era). So you would make 2 eagle warriors for the cost of 130 production vs 120 production for 3 warriors (3 EW vs 4 warriors)

Ofc fighting the deity AI isn't really about cost efficiency vs them anyways early, but timing and to catch their strays off guard. Realistically speaking this is builder/settler steal if you just have basic units, but since Aztecs can cover to builders, you could just kill stray military units of any kind, including scouts with a surprise war.
