So, any Opera users?

As mainly an Opera user, I feel really outnumbered in a sea of IE and Firefox users. Firefox gets all the recognition, is hailed as the alternate browser to IE, and everyone uses it. While Opera is in the background, one of the many browsers but isn't the most well-known or most heard of.

As for me, I started using Opera 7.11 on May 4, 2003. I just upgraded to Opera 7.50 yesterday and it looks great! Much more customizable than 7.23.

I'm using Opera. I think it actually works better with Windows than IE does (Multiple pages, rather than having different ones cluttering-up then cascading over that little bar at the bottom). :)

The only thing that annoys me is the gestures -> I keep moving to the next thread when I am trying to scroll down (accidentally pushing the Right-mouise button). :(

It's not that Firefox gets more recognition, or even has a bigger market share, we just have a fairly active Firefox community on CFC. :D

I used an Opera/IE combination prior to switching over to Firebird/Mozilla around Firebird 0.6; I now use Firefox as my primary browser, very rarely will I surf using anything else.

From 23 to 50, that's a big step, is it much better than 23 then? I found the former version to be a bit buggy, and it sometimes locks for a few seconds while thinking (even on good computers...).

I used to use Opera at home from version 6 to 7.23, but once I got used to Firebird I left it. In my experience it looks nicer and is better at showing pages. I still use Opera in school though for the tabs and open in background features. Try browsing CFC effectively in IE, it's hell...

Opera does, indeed rule. Once you use mouse gestures, you can't go back to IE. And the look and feel of Opera beats all other browsers hands down, which usually seem cluttered or clumsy.

I am still using 7.23 on WIN. I am downloading 7.50 but I am a bit leery. I tried 7.50 beta and didn't like the way it worked....but maybe they backed out those changes. I will just have to install it to a different directory.

The 7.23 to 7.50 upgrade is mostly about the email client, how it reindexes the email. And it inclues an IRC client. The Press Release.

I'm on Opera v7.11 heh. I only use IE if I have to, I'm considering using firefox once I get my new pc though. (In a few days! :D)

I've got 7.5 going - it looks nice but I don't use the email or irc in it so I won't comment on that. I really wish I could like Firefox since it is Open Source and all, but it never seemed all that good to me - maybe I will try it again.

I used opera for quite a while before finding firefox and changing to this. Opera still is one of the best browsers ever.

I use Opera 7.50. I like using the mouse gestures and customizing it.

I use Opera on my Desktop computer. But on my Laptop, I use IE.

I'm using Opera 7.5 and woulnd't have it any other way, I love it :)

Yep. Have it installed, though I use IE and Firefox more :)

I've been using it for years. I probably should upgrade to the newest version soon though.

What version do you have now?

Oh and I found out some other people in my school use Opera too, a big surprise, considering that everyone else I know either uses IE or Firefox.
