well, the title of the thread says it all, personally, the one I most like would have to be the middle ages scenario- I LOVE it, and not just for the Byzantines either :p

I like how you have to build up, but still have the very begginings of a Kingdom (or Empire, as in the Byzantines case ;)), and that you dont already have half the tech tree built up for you- I tend not to like the megalithic war that the rise of Rome scenario put you in, as part of the fun is building up your empire, and yet in so many you already have one fully complete... the uniquesness of the tech tree is awesome, and over all, its just a very fun scenario...

the only gripes I have with it is that Russia keeps getting setteld by other powers, the cataphract is a bit weak, and it would be cool if there were a more power to help take up space in the east... if the scenario had started out in the dark ages... well, that would have been cool :), when Byzantium, and Sassanid Persia were batteling each other... ;)

feh, you can hardley vote i fyou havent at LEAST started them all

Sengoku is pretty fun. Except, when I played it on Regent, around half the tribes didn't build a new city, and were going OCC. And even 140 turns in the game, these civs didn't build another city or settler. Wierd....

My ratings:

1) Middle Ages - extrem high replayability, plays totally different for the different flavors, extremly well balanced.

2) Mesopotamia - up to Monarch, it's a nice and easy Builder's game, but above that, it is really interesting :hammer: . A small, but nevertheless challenging Conquest, and you can finish a game on one evening!

3) - 8) WW2, RoR, FoR, AoD, Sengoku, Napoleonic in no particular order. All are nice, but have a few flaws, or Civs that aren't real fun - try Ottomans in Napo, and you'll see what I mean

9) Mesoamerica. This one is too easy up to Emperor, and near impossible above. Too few options, and competitive Civs, the only Conquest I found a little boring.

Fine then, I'll come back and vote again in a few weeks or months when I've played them all. :p

My runaway favorite is the Middle Ages. It's like a dozen scenarios in one. Each starting position has it's own challenges.

I like Sengoki the best . i try the others some but this one is like a full civ game itself . i really like the ninjas and shoguns upgrade. Middle ages is a close second with WW2 not far behind.

I have played all the scenarios, I have only finished 3 however. Even though I haven't beaten it yet, Rise of Rome is pretty fun. :D

Age of Discovery I find awsome.

I would love an AoD ruleset on a newly made world map, but with the technologies extending into napoleanic and a bit beyond into early industrial ages.

I havent either, but I have started them all, justto get a feel for them

I have played 8 of the 9 scenarios so far. Can't play Rise of Rome. (Rise of Rome keeps crashing when I try to launch it, can't figure out why and it's really pissing me off.)

I play everything on Monarch (too much of a weenie to play harder)

Have completed Mesopotamia and won as the Egypitians.

Have completed Fall of Rome and won as the Francs and was humiliated as the Huns.

Have completed MesoAmerica and won as the Aztecs.

Have completed Age of Disovery and won as the Spanish and Portugues and got spanked as the British.

Have completed The Middle Ages and won as England and France and Burgundy.

Have completed Napoleanic War and barely won as France on points after the game had finished. (VERY VERY TOUGH)

Started Sengoku and am about 1/2 complete (I'm losing interest)

WWII Pacific and quit after about the 10th turn, once again was losinging interest. I'm not sure when I'll give it another shot.

I'd have to say that my LEAST favorites are:

Fall of Rome
WWII Pacific
Sengoku

My favorites are a toss up between:

1 - Age of Discovery
2 - Middle Ages (Very Close 2nd)
3 - Mesopotamia

Would expect Rise of Rome to be in the competetion for the Best also if I could get the stupid Scenario to launch. I've un-installed the program and re-installed it twice already to try and fix the problem. Not sure what to try next.

BTW - Just for Age of Discovery, Middle Ages and Mesopotamia alone, CONQUESTS was definitely worth the price of admission.....now if I can only get the bug out of Rise of Rome

mistake, I noticed it right after the post and edited. If you'll notice I've changed the Huns humiliation to the Fall of Rome. Sorry about the slip up.

I can honestly say that I'm dissapointed in the Fall of Rome. Having anguished through 2 brutal games and getting creamed as the Huns in one of them. Just too far for the Huns to try and expand.

If you can tolerate the lack of India and the Spice Islands, than Age of Discovery is the best.

I played as Portugal and monopolized South America - perhaps it's time to try a harder difficulty?

AoD was amazingly fun for me. I'd probably like the Middle Ages best, but I get my crusading fix playing Medieval Total War.

I couldn't get into WWII Pacific at all, even though it's well designed.

:tank::soldier:

The WWII scenario rocks! However, if you play as the Japanese you get totally hammered. I think it's possible though. I got real close on my last try.
