Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix

I have seen some screen shots of this game and I am very interested. Has anyone played the first SoF and was it any good? Did it play like Rainbow 6 in that one shot one kills were possible?
I am looking for FPS that plays like R6 but has lots of the new special effects that make playing FPSs fun and runs good when playing multiplayer.

The only thing I can think to dislike about the game is the Q3 engine (I am a UT man).

Soldier of Fortune was nothing special except for attention to detail of the damage done to A.I characters by the players weapons...John Mullin by comparison was as hard as nails!

I didn't like SoF much. It was pure carnage but without the style of a Max Payne :/ And the multiplayer part was less than average. I think SoF2 will be a pure singleplayer game and no real multiplayer game. With a bit of luck it'll even be a good singleplayer game and not as boring as part 1.

well, the SOCOM alone makes the game interesting
