Some ideas (evacuation, mines)

This is great mod and only reason why I am still playing Civilization 4. I have few ideas to improve this mod even better.

Evacuation
I dont know is this possible to make or not, but I think it would be useful if you can evacuate your cities if theres a threat to lose cities to your enemy.
Maybe settler like unit which reduces population by 1 and you can only evacuate 1 pop/turn. Then you can move it to another city and that city pop/food is increased.
What do you think is this useful and could this work?

Land mines
Idea that you can protect better your border, cities and improvements by laying mines around your empire in late game.

Sea mines
Same as landmines but in the ocean.

I hope you understood what i meant. English isnt my native language.
 
There is already a feature in place which drafts a number of population to give you extra soldiers when cities without garrison (garrison has been defeated) are attacked. You can enable it under options.

Mines have been discussed at great length before. Unfortunately, RoM nor AND has any dedicated graphics artists, so we can not create the artwork for mines. If I had decent artwork and explosion effects for them, I would add them in a heartbeat.

That is the issue I am having with Traps. No effects, no graphics, no module.

Alas, CFC's greatest artists waste away making useless and increasingly insignificant leaderheads after leaderheads...

Erich von Falkenhayn (Ludendorf would have been the better choice, but either way, we have Hindenburg; unless snafusmith requested him for his WWI mod, this is too insignificant)
[LH] Ruga (It would be better advertised as an Attila the Hun replacer, assuming Hungary/Magyar civs are running Attila)

[LH] Publius Aelius Hadrianus (We need buildings nitram, not Leaderheads. You are such a great graphic artist.)

Mods don't check project forums unless they are a contributor. And AFAIK, none of the Mods play RoM (a pity), but that means that they never check our posts unless a user flags one. :p
