Some stuff I would like to see

Nuclear winter: There was a global warning in the civ4 but no nuclear winter after using bombs. I can't remember but I don't think that there were more ill people from radiation after using a nuke.

No bombarding from behind the mountains: I've seen the gameplay of the civ5 and cannons could bombard units two tiles away, I hope cannons won't be able to bombard through mountains.

Bunkers animations: In the civ4 units were only standing on the tiles and had defence bonus, I want actually to see them hiding in the bunkers and shooting from them, also I want bunkers to be able to bombard units one tile away.

More tactical places: There were forests and hill defence bonuses, but there were no tactical places like for example "the hot gates" from the 300 film.

Added cliffs: Why there are no cliffs in the civ? It should be impossible for cities to build ports when near cliffs and it should be impossible for ships to land units in those places, or for low tech ships like frigate to bombard cities on cliffs.
Also it would be cool because we could build bunkers with artillery cannons that could bombard ships.

Mixing units: mixing swordsmen with pikemen and macemen, so one army unit has all of them.

And the last thing, maybe not in the civ5 but in the civ6, make battles look like in the rome total war: So I can place the units where I want, and then attack from which side I want and how I want, give me the control of the battle.

Maybe I'll think of more later.

The nuclear winter thing, like global warming, would be annoying if using the same mechanics. Fallout caused unhealthiness in enarby cities.

Me too.

Just some (pointless) graphical stuff.

Yes there is. Mountains. The defense bonus wasn't a number but the fact that they couldn't be outflanked which will happen a lot.

Clifffs.....hills? Probably shouldn't be able to embark on cliffs but it's pretty small to worry about.

Completely misses the point of having separate units in the first place.

Wrong game. It won't happen in Civ6 and it couldn't even work because it would require far in the way of overhauls compared to just switching to hexes and 1UPT.

Civ is abstraction above all, many of your suggestions are grounded only on realism, going against gameplay simplicity.

More tactical places is one nice one, though. Workers should be able to build some war-oriented improvements (besides the fort). I think terrain is ok, though, if they make it relevant enough as it is.

No, never, not ever, I will not buy any Civ game whatsoever with this mode in it, I don't care how optional it is, even a second of development time towards this is too much wasted time.

This is not a Total War game, nor is it intended to clone a Total War game, I really do enjoy Total War games, but keep the mechanics as far away from the most pure turn based strategy game on the market. Key phrase here, "turn based".

Sorry, It gets me angry any time I see something like this posted, Civ is the only game that I can play continuously from release to release, I still play about a game/week of Civ IV, just the thought of having it tainted by RTS elements makes my blood boil.
