I prefer to post this here as it made me laugh out loud when I saw this interview and because some people will surely want to argue about it.
It was an interview of an American soldier stationed at the international airport of Kandahar that has been transformed in an American military base. The documentary were saying that 4000 marines and paratroopers are stationed here.
Here is the part that made me laugh :
Did you go out of your base since you are here ?
No, we aren't allowed to.
Do you know what is happening outside of the base ?
No.
Why are you here ?
To fight the terrorists.
