Thought it could be interesting to ask your view of the general idea of something i just finished. It is a story about someone who has just invited a girl to his dorm room at night. He is particularly keen to have her embrace him, but for a very specific reason. After she touches him he has planned to tell her that he needs more time, and ask her to leave, with her reaction being argued to be preferably something which shouldnt bother him much.
Up to this point things are rather normal, if not a bit weird. But as the story continues it is gradually revealed that he wanted this girl to touch him so that he could observe the expression the face of his roommate would take as a result of that. He has already seen a monstrous face of him when he was telling him of his plans, and now fears/expects keenly (those emotions are mixed) one even worse, one which may even drive him to insanity.
Near the end of the story it is revealed that this roonmate is an imaginary being, which however has assumed the face the narrator used to see in the mirror in the past days. Three days ago the roommate appeared as a manifestation of the old face, and arguably the emotions which it symbolised. Now the narrator just wants to come to terms with the new state he is found at. He is of the view that now, even if he is still on a leesh, it is a less tight one, since in the past he was seing horrible images in the mirror and could not go near any girl, whereas now he can at least invite one over. On the other hand he is morbidly fascinated with this apparition of the roommate, and wants to be his poet, the one who would speak of him.
Anyway i did not mean for this synopsis to become as long. Once again i hope that there are brave and patient people who will get to read it, and if they do, share their opinnions of it. As things stand i fear that the story has become a bit too complicated, although it only lasts for 9 pages.
Looking forward to reading your thoughts though
