Son of Deported Immigration Activist Urges Congress to Bring Mom Back to America

and yet again, it seems necessary to distinguish between being pro-immigration and being anti-illegal immigration. She should have taken her son back with her if they wanted to be together.

Telling someone "go to Mexico" is tantamount to telling someone "go to hell". If I was her son, and she brought me to Mexico, I'd be pissed.

If you had a kid, would you be willing to let yourself be separated from him? She's being a very bad parent. It makes me think she's using him as some kind of tool for allowing illegals to live in the US. "Look how bad the immigration laws are in the US that they separate families!"

BS. Mexico is not the poor dirty hellhole of a country everyone makes it out to be.

Way to ruin a perfectly good jab at Mexico...

This woman has been a democrat tool since when she was put up at the Unitarian Church and started talking smack (many months ago).

Sorry. If she was deported to North Korea, Somalia or Iran then maybe her son would have some room to complain.

By the way.

I wonder if the kid does want to move to Mexico to be with his mother and his now legal guardians are keeping him here as mouthpiece for their cause.

I'd bet a pretty penny that that is the case...

Not really.

His mom is an illegal immigrant, period. She didn't seek asylum.

Indeed. An alternative solution to that sort of problem is to discontinue birthright citizenship - I wonder if she'd approve of that? :mischief:

What's an Elias?

I assume he means Elian Gonzalez.

Basically, I feel kind of sorry for the kid because his Mom is gone. I don't blame the US government though, I blame his Mom for leaving him behind.

Legal USA citizens cannot be deported on a basis of parentage.
True, but there was nothing stopping his Mom from taking him along. That wouldn't have been deportation.

If the mom was okay with her kid living in Mexico, why did she sneak here in the first place? Clearly, she wanted a better life for him
