Some friends and I were loading up a game we started around a week ago, and for some reason the opening video that masks the loading screen was the one for Brave New World. No one else got it, despite everyone else having pre-downloaded BNW.
I have it to, dunno why, but if some people have arleady recieved a pre-load of the expansion pack, and it is possible that even less people's main video is now reading the BNW one.
Okay, so to be clear, should I not worry about the fact that I have no pre-load stuff yet (I just did the pre-order today, and don't want to be scrambling at midnight to get this up and running.)

I second this concern. I can't seem to convince Steam to download it, and there's nothing from the expansion in Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v.

The whole opening cinematic (along wiht all leader themes) is on a very well known video upload site . I won't link it because it's not officially released and the mods would probably frown on it, but anyone could find it within seconds.
It seems like it was people who happened to be logged in to their Steam account at the time of the patch that got the predownload. It seems that they caught it after a bit, and anyone who downloaded the patch after that didn't get the preloaded expansion files.

Oh, seriously? I knew it seemed weird to include the BNW opening cinematic but keep GK's UI. As well as those files showing everything. I didn't know it was unintentional though.
how do i know if i got the pre-load? i just got it earlier today (i procrastinate everything). I 100% NEED to be able to play this at midnight and my internet is atrocious, so id rather like to get all the downloading business out the way before
