"Here my scout obviously was killed by barbarians last turn. But the event still came up, though you can see that no healing was available as no bonus comes up. Odd this was happen as the scout the died last turn and the barbarians most likely attacked the same turn..."
Now we know that the game checks to see if a unit is eligible for an event before barbarian combat, resulting in this anachronistic situation. Ironic that the event would have helped heal the scout, who must have already been wounded before his death. In fact, the scout must have been very wounded, as it was defeated by a lowly strength 1 wolf!
