Hello. Im new here but an old school Civilization player, since the 1st. Been on your forum reading for some years only now i decided to register cause im very enthusiastic about Civ VI. And decided to replay Civ 5. Now i have this sound problem a lotta ppl also had. The response of one of your admins was this on an old thread:

"Others who had no sound in Civ5 fixed the problem by reinstalling or updating their sound drivers. I suggest you do the same. If that doesn't help, delete (or rename) the following three files:

config.ini
UserSettings.ini
GraphicsSettingsDX11.ini

The default location of these files is C:\Users\(user name)\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5. Then start a new game. The files should be recreated with the default settings.

If that doesn't help, then verify your game cache (Steam --> Library --> Right-click Sid Meier's Civilization 5 --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify Integrity of Game Cache). If any files are downloaded, repeat until no files are downloaded.
If none of this helps, please repost your DxDiag file. The one in your original post is incomplete (it doesn't show, for example, your operating system or audio information). Also, can you play the opening movie in Windows Media Player (or some other program) with sound? The file is Civ5_Opening_Movie_en_US.wmv and by default is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V."

My question now is, i did opened on windows media player that intro file and the sound was fine.
But i still have the issue in the game itself.

Can you help? Petek is the admin that really looks like to understand and can help.

Thanks anyway.

I hope Civ VI doesnt bring this problem...
