Playing as Bismarck on Immortal, Large map.

After he gets the SS cockpit on turn 394, the Victory Progress screen shows William has completed all the Spaceship parts, but it's not until another 10-or-so turns that he actually completes the Engine and Stasis Chamber - and wins.

It may have taken several turns for William to move the parts to his capital. Also, I think I've seen reports that the AI simply doesn't bother to complete the SS when it could have done so.

The victory screen is supposed to only show parts that have been added to the spaceship already. Not parts built.

And the screenshot shows William having added apparently the last part this turn but not him winning the game (no trophy notification).

In any case, a savegame is needed.

Yeah, by "complete", I meant has sent the ship parts to the Capital and added them to the Spaceship.

If the screen is intended to show parts that have been built but not necessarily added, then I guess the behaviour is correct and it's not a bug. It was getting quite tense as we were all building spaceships, so I was checking the screen a lot, and it seemed wrong to me.

Save File (turn 393).

I ultimately missed out by about 20 turns - should have taken Poland's capital a lot earlier...(!)

FeiLing is correct that the victory screen (VS) doesn't display SS parts until after they are added to the SS.

When I open your save at turn 393, the VS shows that William has 3 SS parts left to complete. At turn 402, I receive notification that William has completed the SS cockpit, but the VS shows that he has completed all the SS parts. That's wrong.

Turn 403 - Receive notification that Maria has completed the SS cockpit. VS now shows Maria has completed all SS parts (previously, it showed she had three parts to complete). VS now shows William has one part left to complete.

This goes on for several turns. As the AI completes SS parts, the VS changes to show some AI have completed all the parts, but no science victory takes place. I played the game until turn 410. No one had won.

Not sure what's happening here. A display bug? Also, no one won when I played your game, but you said William won when you played.

Thanks for checking out the save file. William wins shortly after turn 410 I think...
