Spec me an easy prince game

As per title, spec me the easiest type of prince game, what game settings should I use, except that I would like to avoid overpowered civs like JC and I would like to play epic and standard size...

But that aside, can anyone spec me an easy prince game ?
I keep losing half my prince games, and the ones I do win are ''barely won'' almost lost like I just captured the last city that would become legendary culture in 2 turns...

I often get beat by an overseas ai ( when fractal) that happens to win a cultural victory or I just get outraced to space :(...

On Noble my win percentage is 100%, even in really bad situation I trample the enemy by renaissance time...

I just haven't played for awhile ( bar about 20 hours in the past 2 weeks) and after I got back into the game now I can't win any prince game at all, I tryed both 2 noble and 2 prince games, on the prince games I got owned and on the noble it was just boring at the end, there was a point where in my last game I could capture 4 major cities per turn as it was tanks & bombers &paratroopers vs riflemen & muskets :(...

So can anyone spec me an easy prince game ( map settings, good civ but not overpowered, other game rules, and tips for the start ? ) that I'm pretty sure to win :).

Thanks in advance, I really want to start a game now ( at night, to play until 6 or 7 am :p) but I'm unwilling to have another ''easy go'' on noble but I don't want to get raped on prince either :p.

I'm playing BTS to prevent confusion :).

Try a peaceful builder on an archipelago map, focusing little on military and a lot on diplomacy. Spread a religion around and be friendly. I managed to somewhat easily and very peacefully (only one war the entire game, a big guy picking on some small backward civ) get a diplomatic victory as Ghandi, though I could've succeeded in space race as well, and probably cultural if I tried for it.

I have tried that with Willem van orange in one of my previous four games, resulted in me getting locked off from expanding by some civ.
I also never manage to found a religion early and when I do later on, all the civs have picked their religion already :(.

I've recenty got a number of victories on prince, after getting all victories on noble. So far, the most challenging (in terms of who came closest to beating me) was when I played Gandhi, large, continents, standard opponents, no tech brokering. I tried to dominate my home continent militarily then tried for lots of science specialization and ended up with a modest space race victory--with 3 other civs building spaceships.

So much depends on the initial position. I find it impossible to even figure out what victory condition to go for until I've scoped out my starting continent. (Exception might be for cultural--if you have 3 floodplain cities with okay production, then who cares what is out there!(

Well I decided to try another snaky continents archipelago game, the easiest game on noble I had.
I used a random civ and ended up with Bismarck...

This is the situation ( 1280x1024 hence in a spoiler tag):

    Spoiler :

obviously my 2nd city needs horsies (unless I find copper and that gives a better city location, now doing bronze working) If I manage to find any ai's in the east, but in the immediate borders are safe :).
But I don't know what to go for, place the city for Pigs & Horses or Fish and horses, if I place it for pigs & horses it'll render the fish useless but below the pig isn't much interesting either :(.

Defense is quite easy, my main 2 cities will only have access through that single jungle tile, I'm thinking of placing a fort there so it has 75% defense bonus ? Or should I just use the tile for cottaging ?

Capital will be a GP farm with both specialists and wonders ( hopefully colossus if I find copper :), I'll see if I have enough hammers to give the pyramids a shot but the terrain I revealed so far looks very poor for production so far, needs lots of work (cutting jungles, so need to get IW too early on:() To the south is a peninsula with nothing interesting but 3 wine, which will be needed due to the lack of happiness, either representation or hereditary rule will be essential, increasing the need for pyramids or rush to monarchy...
I have found 3 cottages with gold and have a whopping 232 gold atm so that will keep the slider at 100% a bit longer...

any other hints as what to do, rush cities out and try to cottage all the grass asap ?
Can you see any good place for a prod city, I can't atm and my main fault was making too much commerce cities and too little prod in my previous games ?

Obviously the cheap forges are very nice if I'd need to run engineers for production, will help with GE's too to make more wonders...
any other ideas so far? Granaries asap ( cheap for expansives...) and whip away because of all the poor production ?

    You want it easy, eh?

Pick an aggressive leader without hunting preferably or you'll need to build a 4th warrior.
Go pangaea standard map size with 18 civs.
Turn city razing off, raise the sea level.
Build 3 warriors and attack the nearest AI with them + starting warrior. Attack the next 2 AIs with stacks of 4-5 warriors each.

You now have 4 cities (capitols) with more room to expand than anyone else in the game. I suggest you tech BW then writing while doing this so you can whip/chop libraries and run specialists to get your tech going ASAP. It may be possible to get a 4th civ with warriors too. Good luck.

Interesting, that's what I'll do my next prince game, just started this one and I rarely like to leave games unfinished :(.

I didn't know such a thing you say was possible though .
Really wanna give it a go, sounds great to have 3-4 capital cities early on :D.

Hannibal, high sea levels, archipelago or tiny islands. Make sure you build the great light house. Super easy game.

It works until monarch, then the AI starts with archers and the only civ that can do it is inca.

I forgot to mention that ideally you want to settle on a plains hill, for the extra hammers that gives (plains ivory and some other things are worth 2 hammers unimproved also). Just remember, the opening build is literally warrior - warrior - warrior - warrior (4th if needed) then attack. Line up in that diagnol area so that you can take the city on the 2nd turn of the war (for this reason, if picking between 2 civs go after the creative one before it gets its second border pop)!

Go continents and play defensive. Rush galleons, then take over the Americas. GG.

    EDIT: Not continents, TERRA.

if you want an easy game, you just have to match up the map type with the leader. so willem on archipelago, etc.

I'll add another vote for Willem on an archipelago if you want a fairly easy peaceful game.

warmonger on an inland sea map; basically, you'll always have 2 neighbors while you should be able to trade techs with everyone

and with 2 neighbors, it's easy: club one, lick the other, rince and repeat...
