Hey. Well i was reading through the threads one day when someone suggested the idea that upon the destruction of civ (in this case sheaim) a specific event occured. I thought this would be an awsome idea so I've typed up a few ideas. The thought also occurs that you could add in variables for who their leader was, who your leader was (clockwork golem knocking down the doors n1?), but im getting choked on possiblities again. (btw before rage sticks are shaken regarding balance/lore i just thought it was a cool idea feel free to correct me on anything. Please dont hurt me=()

Amurites
Your forces have defeated the pathetic wizadry of the Amurites. Upon the investigation of the Amurite palace your troops find a remarkable chamber. Within the room, the walls glow unearthly colours constantly changing and moving about. In the center is a raw mana node your mages have never seen before, but it appears to have power over more than one mana type. What will you do with it?

Requires Good
This mana node has great power, we will harness it and use it for the good of our people!
Recieve one life, spirit and water mana

Our enchanters could use this mana to create powerful artifacts, send for them at once!
Recieve one Jade torc, scorched staff and one spell staff.

Requires Evil
Bah humbug, I dislike these colours, get the necromancers working on it so its a better colour. Like black. And see if you can make it scream. And seep blood and what if......
Recieve One Death, chaos, entropy mana.

Illians
The icy palace of Auric has been thrown down. Cold and tired your men discover several ancient texts hidden there from long forgotten times. They hold power unimaginable. Shall you be tempted to read?

Requires Good
These texts were meant to be forgotten. Burn them and let that be a lesson to others who may delve into knowledge that is not rightfully theirs.
1+ happiness in all cities. Recieve one Angel unit.

Knowledge is power, but this power is dangerous. Send them to the mages guild in the capital. They will restrict the knowledge as they see fit.
Recive once Mage with Channeling 2 and Death 1 Ice 1 Chaos 1 Mage guild built in capital if none is currently there. (or 200+ gold if there is)

Requires Evil
Auric was a fool not to use these earlier! Someone get me my reading glasses.
Recieve one permenant Ice Golem with empower 3

Infernals

The demonic legions have been thwarted. In the blackend lands they have inhabited little is left. However in the ruins of a once great city,an insane man is found gibbering about lost caves, magics of unimaginable power and the normal gobbldegook you would expect from a dreamer. Hang on.....

Requires Good
This poor man! He must be treated gently and kindly, he has clearly lost the plot.
However he survived in these lands where no-one else good. If he recovers give him a chance to join our army for revenge.
2+ happiness in all cities Recieve one ranger.

Lost caves you say? Send people to investigate his claims
A dungeon is spawned close by. If explored 1 fire elemental is spawned. Further exploration gives both enchanted blades and a scorched staff.

Requires Evil
I love magic, and I love unimaginable power! Give this man a staff and point him at the enemy!
Revice one Profane with crazed promotion

Requires Octopus Overlords
Come on is it really that hard to see this guys a holy man. Pants on the outside is mentioned somewhere about holiness on tuesdays. Give him a staff and point him at a temple.
Receive one Great priest 1+ happiness.

Bannor
The fanatical crusaders of the Bannor have found a glorious death in battle against your legions. Their palace is filled with many wonderful things, but that of the most interest is a chamber with many beautiful mirrors made of gems.. Using these mirrors it is possible to see great distances, but in doing so the user is filled with horrific desires. Only one of pure virtue could use the mirrors for long.

Requires Good
The sacrifice is too great There is no price on our purity, but there is a price on gems, destroy the mirrors and sell the gems.
Recive one source of Gems

Recruit from out most devoted followers who know the risks. Expose them to the mirrors only for brief times so we can make use of this most valuble resource.
Sacrifice 3 population from your capital to remove fog of war for 3 turns.

Requires Evil
Hrrm horrific desires are the least of whoevers worries when Im done with them. Lock 'em in there and throw away the key.
Recieve one Illusionist with crazed

Requires Balseraphs
Great I had one of these at home! At least I think it was home. There was wine there. Ohhh look a puppy!
Recieve hall of mirrors in all cities.

Very good idea.
You"d need balance however. Your examples are all underpowered for neutral players, and Amurites would be prime targets to gain 3 mana.

Auric's destruction should also allow for Ice mana nodes to be build, IMO.
If you are going to find out from the "ruins" of a destructed civ, I believe this "something" should be something that, that civ, could use while in play.
So, the description for the Amurite's event do not fit this.
And, the AI has to get the benefits, too, if they destroy the civs. Lots of balance is also required, IMO.

Sorry like i said i just tossed out some randomn ideas that popped into my head. Since i a)have no knowledge of how to do it and b) am plain lazy i would never be able to put this into a mod or anything like that, so if you'd like to suggest some different results please go ahead

um... a sect of flies and you get 1 unhappiness in each city??? that's kinda weak maybe an ice golem that has strong and empowered 1-5? with no penalty?
