Spore Expansion: Galactic Adventure

GAMESTOP

Spore: Galactic Adventures has appeared on 2 different sites, one of them being gamestop.

Spore: Galactic Adventures will be priced at the normal expansion price of $29.95.

Gamestops release time is 17th of March compared to All Games release time of 30th March.

At least it’s a better name then “Spore Space Adventures” in which Maxis was currently calling it!

Good grief... well, I really hope that this fixes up some important issues with the game- however, given its title, I fear that it won't.

Yes- I was most bothered by the name.

However, in the description, I read:

For the first time, players’ space faring creatures will be able to beam down from their spaceships to explore new planets.

Isn't this just the hologram?

You will really be able to interact with the residents now, and you will be able to have planet missions and the ability to create your own.

BTS didn't add a lot either with the exception of cool scenarios

What's that got to do with anything?

So now Maxis have TWO expansions about to be released, with pathetic features and things what really should have been included in the main game? What a money-grabbing con. It seems Maxis have beaten Spore to death, and not content with utterly annhilliating possibly the best game premise ever, are taking the piss out of gamers like me and you. Spore was a failed attempt at greatness. Maxis know this, and are trying to milk the players as much as possible. Who knows what what they will fail next. :deadhorse:

Technically C&C was not a expansion but a "parts pack". Galactic Adventure is the first expansion. And really all we know is not much so lets just wait and see whats in it as we get closer.

If they'd combined the new parts with these added Space Phase features, maybe I would have been ready to pay 10-15$ for it.

Do you think we need the parts pack to play with this second expansion? Expansions sequences and compatibility is hell. I really am not too fond of expansions in general. Sometimes that's just the way the game was supposed to be to start with. Most of the time I buy an expansion, I feel cheated out of my money. Whatever. But EA is making taking this feeling to a new level.

The thought of exploring the planets I discover in more depth sounds kind of fun. But hell. Why was this not in the game to start with? That's not a feature of the expansion, that's more like a patch to a problem with the original game (can't explore planets).

its a combination of the recession and corporate greed surely, while the neverwinter series has always been plagued with launch problems, Bioware sure knows how to support a product, I'd like to know how they do it so I can shove it down big hats like EA's throat,
