We need an SR-71 spy plane unit in the atomic era that has massive range and sight so i can spy/discover enemy territory before satelittles are discovered. thankyou goodnight.

We could go a little further...

Put a "Recon Mission" on any plane you have. You can do this with allies (open borders) with no problems... But if you do in an enemy (no open borders) enemy, he will send you a message just like when you take his territory with a Great General.

I don't know why they took out the recon mission option in CiV. WHY???

It was so useful and as you said, it could even have diplomatice implications. Argh.
