Would anyone be willing to collaborate with me to make this a reality? I've already started working on the basic XML files, text and dialog and so forth, but I'm brand new to Civ modding so I don't really know what I'm doing. Here's my idea, but I'm open to suggestions:
Civilization Trait: October Revolution
Class Struggle civic costs less and is available earlier in the civics tree
Background: Prior to the October Revolution, the conventional wisdom among Marxists was that capitalism would need to be developed to an advanced state in a given society before a socialist revolution could be won. The Bolsheviks defied this wisdom by transforming feudal Russia, with its agrarian economy, straight into the world's first socialist state.
Leader Trait: Dialectical and Historical Materialism
Buildings and policies which provide Science also provide Culture
Background: 'Dialectical and Historical Materialism' is the title of Stalin's most important ideological contribution to Marxist philosophy. It argues for a scientific, materialist approach to the study and development of society.
Unique Building: Gulag Labor Camp(?)
I'm honestly not sure about this one. It would have worked nicely in Civ 5 as a replacement to the Courthouse, with an added production boost, but there's nothing really analogous to that in Civ 6. Open to suggestions here.
Unique Unit: T-34 Tank
A Modern Era tank unit with better stats for the same production cost
Background: The T-34 was a Soviet medium tank that had a profound and lasting effect on the field of tank design. Although its armor and armament were surpassed later in the war, it has often been credited as the most effective, efficient and influential tank design of the Second World War. At its introduction, the T-34 possessed an unprecedented combination of firepower, mobility, protection and ruggedness.
