OOC: I'm USA... the one leading the war.

    To Germany:
Invading Spain? Oh, you mean the British landings at Gibraltar. The reason for that is simple. Nations are like people. No matter how strong they are, they all have certain places, pressure points, that if hit will take them down. Gibraltar is such a point; the basis of our plan for fighting the Spanish was not to fight a war of attrition, overrunning all their land... but rather to hit key strategic targets, to force them to surrender and end the war quickly and bloodlessly. I obviously cannot reveal the other targets because it would threaten the security of the operation, but that is why we "invaded Spain." As to the fate of the Spanish colonies, they are initially going to be divided up between the members of the Alliance. I cannot speak for the others, but my intention is to first stabilize the territories, then to rebuild their economies, and then to offer them a choice by referendum: either become US states, or gain independence as US protectorates. As I said, I do not dictate policy to my allies, so I cannot speak to the future of the British, Canadian, and ANZAC territories. It is best for you to ask them what their plans are.

I also see perhaps the seeds of WWI are being sown...;)

Edit: While you are posting guys, please don't forget your orders. If they are secret, PM them to moi.

OOC: Just to tell you, Germany controls Poland as far east as the Vistula River, plus the East Prussian/Polish cities of Danzig/Gdansk and Konigsberg/Kaliningrad (I know, I know, Russia not Polish name...)

    To Germany:
We will allow the observers, so long as they do not interfere with our combat operations. For the sake of their own safety, I suggest that they wait to enter an area until all combat there has ceased. Stray artillery shells and machine gun bullets have killed more than a few independent observers, and something tells me the defending Spanyiards won't be very particular about what or who they kill with their artillery. In the fighting for Havana, Spanish artillery leveled an entire residential block -- citizens and all -- to hit 2 sqauds of American riflemen who were going door-to-door searching for hidden weapons. You don't want your observers to get caught in a firestorm like that; however, western Cuba is now safe for them, and also for international journalists, if they wish to come.

OOC: Ahem. I was supposed to get two more econ. points from Byzantine and Tibet, making it four econ. points.

Ottomans are growing weaker and weaker. It is time for ones who are strong to strike! Do you agree?

    Orders:

    - Grow army twice.
    - Continue wonder (2/7)
    - Prepare 1,000,000 troops on the whole border with the Ottoman Empire.
    - Orders are likely to be soon edited.

well my wonder was more of a cultural thing, not much as a large structure, it is like a statue. But if we were going that way, we would have to know how big it is, how complicated it is, etc. Sounds logical?
