a thousand apologies. I kept seeing myself as the last poster and assumed it wasn't my turn.

Seems that the Orions are being bothered by ion storms, so I won't be approaching them for a while.

p.s. I will be away for 10 days, I'll try to get some one to sub for me.

I have no objections to wait for Koby's return.

Since the Klingons don't want to hear any blah-blah:
    Nothing new...

Well he arranged for me to sub for him, but if you're all willing to wait that's fine with me. :)

We discovered a Borg clone cut off from his collective and rescued him. Now he works for us - at triple the regular engineer speed.

I've received academia's PM about the 'illegal' techs he obtained from the neutrals. As far as I recall, the Neutrals don't really have anything they would not offer or is not researchable by the main races. At this early stage, I don't think the Klingons could have got much additional mileage from choosing what techs to obtain. Now if the Klingons got techs from the Feds or Roms that would be different.

Germanos, as it was a honest mistake on Academia's part and not of any significance, I say lets just continue.

Two major things happened in the Federation:

A law was passed that prohibits tech-trade with the neutrals. This is because any tech will most likely move on to the Klingons, since they are no doubt on equal technological level as the Neutrals, and thus will not suffer from any restrictions in tech-trade that the Federation has.
If the Klingons want Federation Techs, they know where to find us.

Secondly, the Federation Counsel on Earth has Abolished Money alltogether, causing great happyness among Federation citizens. The Federation will be much easier to govern now. To the surprise of Federation high Officials, Happiness on Earth was triple that of the other planets, while economists had predicted equal effects throughout the Federation. When people are done celebrating, some scientists might investigate the matter.

We Romulans have decided to continue using money. Sometimes, financial rewards can be quite a impetus for improvement. Besides why do we need our citizens to be happy when we can subjugate them.

    Colony of Pentarus founded.

Breaking with the independent tradition, I have decided to contact the Orions. The seem to have extensive maps of the Alpha and Beta quadrants.
