Designed at the time of the Earth-Romulan war in the middle of the 22nd century, this ship is armed with Lasers and nuclear rockets. Although it was designed in the time short before foundation of the Federation, the basic federation design is already visible. Just the spheric section looks outdated, as later designs use saucers instead of spheres.

As the attack anims of my klingon ships weren't very...canon
I spent some time to make this one more accurate. The only pic of an attacking Daedalus suggested it's Laser banks are located at the bottom of the sphere section (like the Enterprise NX-01's weapons are below the saucer)
