Hello guys.

I'm hoping for some technical assistance here:

I had installed CIV IV on my PC - fully updated and in DVD media.

Today, I acquired the CD version of Warlords, and had just installed.

First install, no troble. Than I updated.

Doing so started to bring me an error message. Lemme show:

Quite frankly, it's annoying.

I have tried switching for the other CD (which has only the manual), no use.

I also have already experimented swiching the drives (I have two DVD players), to no avail (but the message confirmed that it's looking for the disk in drive F: - the correct one).

Any ideas on how can I solve this matter here?

Regards :).

I may be having the same problem or at least a similar sounding one.
Warlords will not install - the disk is not found. I borrowed another warlords disk and encountered the same issue - suggests its not a fault with the disk.
Vanilla Civ 4 is runninmg fine. I have the latest ATI drivers. Any help would be appreciated.
cheers Ogno

Thing is, ainwood, that I have none installed already. I have recently made a fresh install in my PC and, so far, I haven't installed Nero, nor anydvd, nor daemon tools.Technically, I still have two tools that can be used to iracy - kazaa (actually, k-lite) and shareaza, but I never heard that p-2-p software creates virtual drives nor conflicted with copy protection...

Regards :).

The plot thickens.

I have just tried a fresh re-install, and what did I get: If I don't patch the game, it does not even seek the DVD drive - it works without the disk even being inserted.

I am guessing that I'll seek for a non-cd solution on some game coipy soite until the tech support gets back to me...
