    The game is underway[party]

I logged in just to check it all out.

I also moved the scout SE just to have a better look at our surrounds which you can see below

I leave the city founding to our glorious leader:p

Don't forget about naming it Orenburg please. And what is the password? And also we need to have some e-mail address posted in the tracker thread and some summary somewhere with server, civstats, all e-mails and ask a mod to sticky it. Or are we going to spam in one thread?

What's wrong with "Spamalot" for the capital name? At least then we're staying true to our characters... ;)

Am I the glorious leader? anywhoo i settled as there doesn't seem much else to do

    As we couldn't come to a consensus on the name our capital is;

    SpamaRobiOren

I think it ticks every box so far :mischief: and the luxury about civ4 is that it can be changed when we realise it was crap. I might suggest that we each get to name a city based on join date to the team and then the capital something related to cdz/spam?

Edit- not in the picture i started on mining and hit enter (didn't seem much point in waiting around).

You got us into this so yeah:)

That sounds resonable, Spamalot would be fine. I'm happy for Orenburg to be our second city to stop akots carrying on;)

Probably should start a separate turn thread too

    I'd go for Spamalot.

Guess it wasn't an April fool start after all.

    I agree.

And I think it would also be nice to have a very well documented spoiler at CDZ (for the lazy bastards over there (and for after the game once the forum will be public)...

I am slightly concerned about the lack of a warrior though. This is a standard size map from memory so there is a fairly decent chance we could meet someone in that time.

I think for a spoiler for the time being will just be a question of copying and pasting this thread to cdz for the time being, then opening up a spoilerish thread here and at cdz (can you copy entire threads in code?). I don't think (at least for a good hundred turns and probably ever) that there is a need for a turn by turn update. In war this will be required but otherwise not so much, everyone can still log in to check it out if they want :)

I don't think it's likely. This is a manmade map, so I expect there to be fairly equal spaces between the six capitals (one below the standard map size normal number (which is 7)). Which means there should be plenty of space between the capitals.

But the alternative to building a worker first would be to build a warrior and grow to size 2 before building a worker. I won't argue against that option if anyone prefers this (after all, better to be safe than to be sorry)... :)

I would love to know what is stopping teams from logging in and hitting the enter button, they've settled but for some reason are electing to not hit enter...

Probably they need a poll on whether to hit enter or not.

Its only one team now and they logged in without hitting enter. Buying time for some poll or discussion or whatever can be the only reason i can think of for not moving on with the game. Although i can't imagine what would be so vital on turn one to require it

Hi guys, sorry for being a bit late on this, but I did scrach my head about the boat or the worker start.

I did the spreadsheet and if we do the boat first, on turn 27, pop will be 3, Food 5, sheild 21 and gold 411. The worker will have had 3 free turns.

If we do worker first, on turn 27, pop will be 2, food 1, sheild 24 and gold 326. But the worker will have had 11 free turns.

I'm not sure if we should not switch.

    Please review the file.

Haven't looked at the file (I am at work) but did you also account for chopping that the worker can do?
