When does the mod needs to start?
in what time?
I tought we would do it around our time and make the quick transfer to the star wars time.
tough NikNaks didnt knew about it so thats why this one is here.
are you for or against or do you want something different?

Maybe have 6 or so beginning techs, like 'rifling' and 'body armour,' to choose how you are going to play, but those are the only techs that are really from now. After that, they start going to more Star Wars techs, such as 'lasers' and 'tibanna gas.'
 
Hmm, you mean techwise? Maybe have a really simplistic representation of our modern day tech and them give a more detailed treatment for SW techs building from those. Much like Sovin nai suggested, basically.

Just to tell you, in Star Wars, the timeline is BBY and ABY (before and after Battle of Yavin) Start around 5,000 BBY, go slow, and go to 1500 ABY.
 
Yeah, I agree, from 5000-4000 ABY to whatever BBY sounds about right, but the numbers are not really that important IMO. Could just use turn numbers as far as I'm concerned.
