If you csn, Joe Harker, that would be fine by me. Lord Civius has started the war plan although I'm not sure how much deeper we'll go with it. Nate's offensive plan looks good, but is LC's defensive moves enough to hold off the 4th Armada? :dunno:

Let's plan on the delay, as LC isn't going to play until Sunday, and find out what others have to say.
 
Basic Reinforcement Plan has been laid out in the War Room. I'd like to get vras' opinion since he is our Defence Minister :D .

Only Reps can post in this thread. Each State Rep should create a discussion thread for their individual States. The Public Sqaure is also where general citizens can discuss National issues with the Reps.

Their are issues laid out before the Assembly, some more urgent than others. Each Rep should post his States positions as soon as possible.

As for the defense, I strongly support securing the west coast before sending our own attacking fleet, I should have made that clear. Reinforcements should be brought in from where LC has mentioned, and not to mention the promotion of riflemen in the area to infantry.
 
Two main points.

One, I can't help myself any longer...History Major ya know...as a Federation, the name of this place needs to change because it's at odds with our new Gov't style. This is because Estates General represents a time where we only allowed landholders to vote etc...sorry to nitpick...

Two, We need to appoint a member that would report to the House, who would have the job of PMing our new members, and keeping their interest, as well as make sure they join a township. It would be best if we spread them out evenly.
 
to your points vra the name of the thread should be renamed to States General Assembly Hall. The Secretary General was made to cover the position you mentioned. I will do my best to keep new members informed and active.

The two ideas could be easily done, vra. But if we are to change the name of the thread, I would very much like to keep this thread, and simply change the name...it feels homey.

As for the House Reporter (I suppose you speak of the current Estates General) I would take on this task. LC's right.


I have something to bring up to the current assembly, though. We currently do not plan on invading the Mayan homeland on the next TC, and instead hope to reassess our defenses. If peace were to be called now, we could work on our defenses, keep the build going, and gain 500 Gold. War could be declared again after that, and by that time our defenses would be ready to support an invasion. However, we would have war weariness to consider, as we would be the invaders.

I call a motion for a Peace Treaty; a majority vote is needed by the Representatives of the 4 States concerning the war. All on favor, please say I, all against, please say no. Feedback is always requested.

I vote "I" (yes) to the Governor Generals Peace treaty for the price of 530 Gold from Justinian. This will allow us to build infrastructure and strengthen our economy. For the record I am against making peace and then declaring war in 10-20 turns. If we want war with Justinian it is far better to simply continue the war.
 
We have a great chance for a Great Engineer coming in Edorai in 9 turns. We could found Mining Inc. This Corporation best suits our surplus resources. The only problem is a Great Prophet will be born in Warfire in 3 turns. We have no use of a Great Prophet. I move to request Warfire stop using its Priests until Edorais Great Person is born. Also if we take off the Spy Specialist and work another Engineer our good odds will increase.
 
We should take the Great Engineer possibility, Warfire can manage without Prophets for a few turns.


I also think we should plan out cities to get power now, as the building of factories and coal plants will become big health risks, and with many cities becoming very large, unhealthiness is a bigger risk (as surplus food is much harder to find).

Other then that everything still looks great :).
 
The unhealthiness is an issue. Combustion will be completed in two turns. Getting Biology will give us food needed to fight off starvation until Medicine is researched. Biology will take only 4 turns, Churchhill and Justinian will trade us but their offers are very unbalanced. I suggest researching Biology and medicine next and possibly trading for Physics.

We are beginning to need a new teching plan, and, as you and Cyc have stated, we will be in need of healthiness (in the case of Edori, we already do). To curb the starvation in Edori, I am calling for Biology after Combustion, we will gain 4 food per turn in Edori not to mention more everywhere else.

The need for Medicine will likely follow this tech advancement, as we are in a building phase, it would be best to bring our cities up to the highest populations they could handle, as future health and happiness needs could be more easily addressed without difficulty.

Would the Representatives please vote on whether or not to research Biology as the next tech? A "no" majority would lead to re-assessment.

(Feel free to nominate techs as it is layed out in the Constitution, the vote is for organization)
