ooc: Jason your declerations make one glaring error. The fact that by the Conferate constitution itself, slavery is protected and to overturn it and abolish slavery needs a 3/4 majority of the state assemblies to ratify it.

I dont know much about the causes or political views of the Civil War , but I have read the Constitution in research on the background of the turtledove series of books with CS winning the civil war and it is quiet intresting.

hey, you be quiet. I'm not a dictator here, I'm a mod. If someone presents a case for why they should go to war, thats enough for me and they'll suffer the consequences of that war. It will be VERY VERY rare to see me "strike down" someone's actions from the parliament or congress or whatever. It strikes ME as a stupid way of handling it. Let people learn from thier actions, by actually PLAYING THEM OUT instead of just saying "oh well, you cant do that, sorry".

Don't need my modding abilities to be questioned in my own nes. This is mainly a call to you, alex, thom, whoever. If one more person...makes a remark...about this NES being unrealistic...I will PERSONALLY kick them out.

I personally wish to assure that we are gaining no oversea's colonies at this time, as we have no ports and no ships. I wish to assure you personally that this expansionism is the creation of fear-mongers(OOC: WHo should use less OOC). And if you mean the Treaty of Vienna, I wish to assure you that at this time, we are sticking to the deals made about our former government, but we beleive that it has be irreversably shredded by Portugal declaring war on Switzerland for no reason, abosulutly no reason at all. If you truly respected the Treaty, you would take action against Portugal. If others don't respect my neutrality, how am I excepted to keep it, I ask you.

If Jason doesnt want it I would like to claim the Confederate States of America. Having said that Azale if I do this could you perhaps extend the update a little bit so that I may send orders for a nation that when it is at war would be a great disadvantage for orders not to be received.

OOC: An order extension is ludicrous given what has been revealed since the deadline passed, as is a modification to them by the new player so far into the update. It's your own fault for switching nations before the update. In fact, if such is permitted, I will quit. An exception was already made in the middle of the last update for something like this. Doing it again is wholly beyond the spirit of the game, and quite frankly absurd to even request.

The situation is rather quite different. Orders have already been sent and are being acted upon. The player quit before it was completed. Oh well, his orders are still there, and various facets of what's going on have been discussed in the thread. It's would not only present a ridiculous strategic advantage, and be a complete disservice to everyone else playing by dragging out the update still more, but there's no point at all, since Sheep can just wait.

The former case had some merit. This one has absolutely none.
