Stealing Technology but nothing in list

I am playing G&K team based multi-player. My spy stole a technology so I received the prompt to select a tech. I press the button and the tech window appears on the side but is empty. I click to show the tech tree but I can't steal anything there either.

Now, the game is stuck. It won't let me end the turn until I pick a technology which I can't do.

Any suggestions?

Probably a bug, or perhaps you just finished researching the only tech you could have stolen from the other civ, in the same turn... just a wild ass guess. Whatever caused it, you'll just have to quit out and reload from the most recent autosave.

Does the hard force end turn still work? Shift enter or ctrl enter or whatever? Used to tell my friend to do that in MP when the select research bulb wouldn't go away.

I tried every combination of ctrl/alt/shift enter I could think of.

I ended loading off of an autosave from a couple turns back and relocated my spy to another civ.

I'm guessing this is a bug, probably in the way Smokeybear describes. Can you please attach a save so this can be confirmed?
