Steam Adverts - How to get rid of them

NM, they stopped appearing now

They should only appear once (when new) when you start steam (or when you exit a game if you launched it from the shortcut before it logged into steam). You can turn them off in the options menu in Steam.

Steam > Settings > Interface > Uncheck "Notify me about additions..."
