Steam Error (53)

I cannot play game keep getting this error even after i disable iolo System Mechanic and uninstall uTorrent and Spybot search & destroy

man i wish they never used steam... how can i play from disk???

Oh I think I responded to your post on the steam forums. Go to your steam directory and delete everything except the steam.exe. then run steam, it will update/replace everything. Then try.

I have a problem trying to run the game from the very start. When I try to run the game, it gets to 100% and then I get a popup message saying Incomplete Installation of Sid Meier's Civilization V (53). I have no idea what to do and all I want to do. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Steam and Civ and still nothing.

Which one is steam.exe? I'm not very adept at reading files.

I don't have Civ5 or any other steam game, so i can't be sure about it, but i think steam.exe is the exact name of the file. The ".exe" might be missing at the end on your computer.

OT: I like your sig... Steam ruins my civ5 experience.

Just go to folder options - untick the hide known file extension
