Steam installation problem

I hope someone can help me. I have installed the mod and patched it and when I check my directory, all seems well. When I try to launch the game I get "Mods
Planetfall v14 \ is an invalid mod directory, ignoring" error and the game launches without the mod. I disables UAC checked and created a new shortcut to launch the mod and made sure steam had me updated. Still no luck. Is there a problem with the Steam version of the game? Is there something I am missing?

Welp, as usual, as soon as I give up, I figure it out. I had to load the mod after I launched the game. Looks great so far, thanks.

you can launch the mod directly by editing the target path of the shorcut. Just add a double quotation mark (") at the very end of the line.

ex ...planetfall v14"
