Anyone else is playing, the boards are pretty dead about now. :D

It should be fine in a bit. Go get something to drink, clean up a bit, and try again. Those issues get resolved rather quickly

That happens on most major releases if you didn't preload or you got the delux edition and are waiting to DL babylon. Just keep trying, Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so before the DL started.

I just get "Incomplete installation) due to error 3--no internet connectivity. However, I have no trouble with any other Steam games. WTH? I don't have any outgoing ports blocked on my router. Are they just flooded with traffic and cannot handle it?

BTW, mine was preloaded. All the files unlocked at 7:04, though that took a good twenty minutes. Now I'm just trying to launch the game over and over for 40 minutes. This is annoying.

I predicted this last night but some of you thought I was being stupid.

Predicted? It's a common occurrence for major releases on Steam.

You don't need amazing insight to know it might happen. So people that called you stupid were being stupid themselves.

Release day is always fun. Hell it took me an hour before I could get the forums here to load so Steam broke Civ Fanatics too! :)

I was consistently having the same problem. I restarted, etc., no luck.

In the options, I changed my server location to another site.

Restart. Bang, decrypting beginning.

Suggest changing your server location.

The same problem here:cry:

Someone used the example of another major Steam release that didn't have any problems. They said if that didn't have problems (lags, access, etc.), then Civ5 certainly wouldn't have one.

I did pre-load Civ V. At 10 AM it successfully de-encrypted, which took about 15-20 minutes.

I have been trying every few minutes to Play for about an hour and I keep getting these messages.

I have restarted Steam and rebooted my PC. Other games load fine.

It's not a big deal because I need to get work done this morning anyway, but it's annoying nonetheless.
