I am afraid Orbis is in deep hibernation mode. 
The good news is, it's stable and fun to play. Just don't expect the ai to outwit you on a regular basis.

Yeah, seems to be deep stasis mode atm... but I think, when someone as awesome, creative and intelligent as awharic is creating such a great mod, he can't just let it "die" with no further comment. I hope awharic is analizing the "Why don't you like Orbis"-Thread and working on how to improve this great and stable mod. All in all most of the people really like his mod. The only thing most of the critizing people are bugging about is the relativley weak AI (in waging war) and the multiplayer problems. I guess awharic will surprise us all. At least I hope so.

P.S.: Orbis was the modmod I was playing the most - and is, when calculating all the hours ever spent in front of a modmod, compared to ff, wm and rife.

I'm afraid that the new project mentioned by Ahwaric would occupy most of his time. So I do not think that there will be a lot of new things in Orbis. Personally I hope for some "polishing" work - a patch would be appreciated
