Stops responding and completely bugged at round 100ish

A friend and I stopped playing in february to wait for a fix. Tried again today, but at round 86 we had to reload the game a couple of times, and at round 112 it's completely broken, can't play more than a round before nothing responds and being kicked out. Very disappointing since we love this game. Why isn't anyone else reporting this, nobody got this issue? Playing via Network, I'm joining my friend's game. Keeps stalling at round 112, can't move units, can't do nothing, and after a while we're kicked out to menu. Very frustrating.
