storage limits on transport automation

Hi,

I don't know if this question has already been answered (couldn't find it): Is it somehow possible to ignore storage limits on automated transport routes?

I set up a lot of transport routes, but as soon as a city's total storage limit is reached, my transport units are waiting to transport goods to this city. Can this be somehow ignored so that goods are always transported? This is especially important for goods which are needed in a production chain...

Thanks!

You mean by an existing setting in the game?
Answer: No, such a setting does not exist.

The logic that automatisiaton uses is the same as for AI.
Thus it would be a bad idea to have stuff transported to places where storage will overflow.

Solution ... even if it sounds unsatisfying:
Try to manage storage space in a better way, it is part of the gameplay. :dunno:

For fully automated transports, they will deliver to whatever colony is currently importing, so if none are importing, then obviously they will have nowhere to go. Using feeder service will make the colony more likely to receive goods in case there isn't enough goods, so you can set up a colony, which always imports and use that as a sink to receive when where is nowhere else to go. This is done by not using feeder service.
