Hearing out the messenger from Joan of Paris, King Clovis notices the misspelling of his name on the parchment and is insulted. Shaking his head, he instructs his guards to take the messenger away to be fed and rested. He would think about his reply.

Later, the King brings the messenger back and hands him another parchment. The messenger never takes his eyes off the King's.

"Inform your...King, that Palatine lacks enough information about the Parisian Army to make a decision about an MPP. Trade can help this situation as we are already trading on your borders and are prepared to continue these routes on into your nation. In order to set up Trade routes, we would need maps of your territory, showing your cities and Military fortifications. Palatine has a tradition of providing safe passage for the transport of all goods by the Army. We would expect proper escort by your troops also. If we are to send cargo into your territory, we would need to know the most direct and safest routes to take to your larger cities. This could best be accomplished via roads and rivers within the effective boundries of your Military. When we receive said information, Trade negotiations will commence."

Joan was with his fouth wife(going for that) when the messenger returned with the letter from King Clovis?? The king made a mental note to replace the scirbe. So a full trade pact was being accepted when and if maps would be exchanged.
The maps were sent over and the army would start keeping squads with convoys of caravans. The protection given though would only be halfway and Palatine would be reponsible for their half of the trade route. Untill a MMP is signed no forigian troops may enter Parisian lands.

King Clovis accepts the maps from Joan of Paris but does not send any in return, except for a few of the border territory, already known to Joan. Clovis also pulls back any trade from that area.

The maps from Joan go straight to the Palatine Generals.

The Kingdom of Moscuvy was flourishing. The city state had expanded its borders to house several small villages in the empire. But, this was not enough. There was too much on the horizon to for Moscuvy to stay this small.

Phillip Von Bellizer, a young man who unexpectedly succeeded his father as Grand Duke of the Teutonic Order.
Before Phillip the Grand Duc position has always passed between the previous Grand Duke and the successor chosen from the Knights Order, usually the Grand Dukes apprentice.
For the first time has a father been succeeded by his son in the entire history of the Order.

And beginning his rule as Grand Duke, Phillip has an insurmountable task to scale; his father in his last years had grown lax and allowed much of the Orthodoxy to return to the lands of the Baltic.
The heathens were once again openly practicing, and this infuriated not only the Pope but many of the Order. And while Phillip being his fathers son had not a whit of problem with the Orthodoxy would soon have to act to crush them; or join them.

Both choices are difficult, and both he did not want to take; but they were the only choices available to him.

If he were to wipe out the Heresy then he would in short order have to invade his vassal in Prussia; for even thoough Prussia was technically catholic it was suffering the same problem as the order, the rampant heresy of the Orthodoxy, and was in danger of converting; then Pskov, Tver, Novogorod, and finally the Grand Duchy of Moscovy itself. Something he was not looking forward to.

If he himself were to convert the Order to the Orthodoxy, which in his view being surrounded BY the Orthodoxy meant it not such a bad idea, he would have to begin a civil war to dismantle the current regime and then install a new one.

Not knowing what to do he decided to send a letter to his Holiness the Pope for advice.

The Orders fate sits upon the edge of a knife and I feel unsure of what to do.

Paris expands rapidly along the Atlantic.

Cyprus quickly gobbles up the small island kingdoms to the west, expanding its area of influence.

Mercia gives up expanding north, instead, invades the Kingdom of Wessex, almost erraticating this once great kingdom.
