What is this Mod?

Welcome to Strategos, a mod for Civ VI. It adds 40+ new units to the game, fleshing out old upgrade lines and adding a few new ones.


Version 2.0
-Updated for compatibility with the Winter Update.
-Fixed a few errors, updated some unit descriptions, basic cleanup work.

Version 1.3

It is not, though subsequent versions will incorporate models from moar units into the ArtDef. Look for that in about a week.

I'm assuming this isn't compatible with Moar Units?
I am currently using both strategos and moar units...
You need to however edit the strategos or the moar units and comment out the rifleman from one of them. The only reason that theh do not work together is the fact that both of them add a rifleman.

Would be good to see that. Have you had alook at editing your .modinfo file to make this as a standalone mod? I have done that and it it much easier to use. No need to overwrite core game files.
Also how do your units balance with all standard game units? Includong the unique ones. I have not experimented enough to see..
I really love the support units and the healer units

because in the vanilla game, it misses to much units i find
 
I'm running mac, the logos in the tech tree are blank and the units are not updating. for instance, the herbalist looks like the warrior?

that is to do with the .artdef files. as this is not a standalone mod you need to overwrite some of the standard game files.
 
can someone post instructions on how to do this? or is there a way to automatically mod like civ 5?
 
How many people are using this mod? I really love the units in this but i do not see the AI using the auxillary units or the healer types ore even the deck catapault. This unfortumately to me throws the balance out making it too easy to overpower the AI. Anybody else have any experience same or different to this??
I have looked at adding in new classes just for these units and then adding them into the AI city attack formations but yet to play enough to see if it works...
