Is it worth buying it as i am totally useless at the game?

Hard to say, it has some useful stuff. If you buy lots of books like me, then by all means. Those that would rather not spend on book or at least wait for the paper back, may not feel 21 bucks (what I paid) is a deal.

I think you'll find even better strategies here, if you just give it time

I've found that most strategy guides just re-state the obvious. They go about one level deeper than the game manual. The "strategies" are just theories really.

I think the advice given in this forum is much more in-depth and honed by actual gameplay.
