Struggling with MP

I purchased the game yesterday no patches. I played all last night and tried MP today but when I went it said I needed a patch and auto dl'ed. When I went to start the game it says failed to start because DXDX9_32.DLL was not found. It also says re-installing may fix. I can't uninstall because my sys. isn't reconizing the game, and how do I get the right MP patch? I guess first I would like to just be able to play anything at all. 1 day and already out of commision *sigh*

Your directX needs to be updated. Download and install the latest version from Microsoft. And then you should be good to go.
