Stuck with ver 1.16f

Help!

I recently found an old copy of Civ III for mac and installed it on my new MacBook (intel). It works, but the game crashes without warning a few thousand years into each game.

No warning. No message. No explanation. The game just zaps out.

I just looked, and realized I am playing ver 1.16f. I've tried to install the latest patches, but every link I find is dead. Looks like Atari took over, and they don't support Civ 3 anymore.

Can anyone help me?

Second time in as many days! Check out the Civ3 1.29b2 updater link in my signature.

I'm surprised you got version 1.16 to run on an Intel Mac at all. Version 1.21 crashes instantly.
