Sturmgeschütz III Ausf E

Info taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StuG_III
The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun was Germany's most produced armored fighting vehicle during World War II. It was built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. Initially intended as a mobile, armoured light gun for infantry support, the StuG was continually modified until, by 1942, it was widely employed as a tank destroyer.
The Sturmgeschütz series is probably best known for its excellent price-to-performance ratio. By the end of the war, over 10,500 had been built.

Indeed, this is a great looking tank unit, very well done.
Though that cannon... well let's just say that all the other tanks are probably laughing at it :D

there are some black n' white pictures. I far as I know, the camuflage consists of a greenish-yellow ground color and brown strips.

The most suitable are coloured drawings of units from the different viewports - the best situation is when i have draws from top side front and back - like i had with stug :) if you found it could be a lot easier :goodjob: if not i'll draw textures in gimp but probably it won't be so nice ;)

I find that when adding the little details to the textures, like hatches, bolts, various slits and what not, it helps using some of the stuff from vanilla textures (that is if you can't draw it just by hand, I don't know your skill level but mine isn't very high :)). So anyway, I usually cut some of those little pieces from the vanilla textures, desaturate them and use them overlayed in either overlay or multiply mode. With those, plus some shadows and noise here and there and all you really need to do is the camo pattern - which I do using a plugin for photoshop, but you can't do that 'cause you're "gimped" :p :D

thx for hint :goodjob:
i'll try that :)
