Worker automate is not fair is sucession games - please do not use it

Civs = 12
Civilzation = Iroquois, as they have not been played in a succession game.
World = Large, Wet, Warm, 5 Billion, large continents.
Difficulty = Regent
Barbarians = Roaming

Anyone can play. Only limitations - maximum of 20 turns.
There must be at least one person between your turns.
Post if you can play and complete you turn within 24 hours.

4000 BC - A great river square is spotted, and our settler heads that way.

3950 BC - Salamanca is formed. Masonary research is started, for I always like to get the Pyramids.

3800 BC - The Chehalis tribe teachs us Warrior Code.

3700 BC - Furs are spotted. A lousy location, but it would put a lot of hills and moutains under our control.

3600 BC - Micro manage Salamanca to encourage food growth, I want the settler to start.

3450 BC - The Navajo give us $25.

3400 BC - Salamanca orders the Production of a needed settler. More fur is spotted, in a much more reasonable area.

3250 BC - Incense spotted. The Olmec tribe teachs us the wheel. I spot horses near Salamanca :)

3150 BC - Enter an unknown culutures borders.

3100 BC - It turns out to be France. What a crappy starting location. The deal does favor France, but we give up Warrior Code, Pottery, Wheel to gain Alphabet, Masonry (saves us 24 turns), 10 gold and the French worker.

3050 BC - Horseback riding is order to be researched. Paris really sucks as a city. I want the Mounted Warrior to wipe them out.

Garson the First, assumed control of the empire in 3050 BC
Here is the chain of events

3000 BC Settler sent to found city east of Salamanca to secure access to furs.

2950-2900 Continuing city improvements and exploration

2850-2800 Found Bablyonians, Traded Masonry for Bronze Working and 2 Gold.

2750 BC Ordered Salamanca to produce another settler.

2710 Pretty Quite

2670 Founded City of Garsonia, named for loved Emporer.

2630-2550 Exploring and continuing improvements

2510 BC The Navajo tribe impressed with our emissary teaches us Mysticism

2430-2350 Exploring and sadly our scout is ambused by barbarian party in the north west.

2310 BC Settler sent north to found a new city and secure horses

2270 BC Warrior produced and sent north to fortify new city. Niagara Falls founded horse access secured.

2230 BC Roadways are being connected northward, soon horses will be ours, we may begin conquest of the evil French to the north. Garson I retires, anxious to see the glorious empire expand.

2230: Emperor Thiazi takes over the fledgling Iroquois Nation. His first act is to raise tech to 100%, for it will bring the much-needed technology, horseback riding, in 5 fewer turns. This does lead us to operating at somewhat of a loss but the Emperor is confidant that raiding the surrounding countryside will provide more than enough income to make up for whatever losses we may incur. He also feels that brining in a lot of money is not important at the moment, since our neighbors do not seem like they will be very useful trading partners. France is perennially in debt and the Babylonians may as well be.

2190: The Babylonian city of Ur is ransacked by barbarians.

2150: The warrior stationed at Niagara Falls is sent NE to investigate a potential barbican encampment (goody hut). Our scout near Babylon has learned that Ur survived the barbarian raids. Our workers have completed a road, which will bring horses to Salamanca!

2110: Warriors are completed in Garsonia and Niagara Falls; we begin production of a temple and warrior respectively.

2070: Barbarians defeated at Niagara Falls and a barbarian encampment south of the Babylonian city of Ur is raised, we gain 25 gold.

2030: Our workers have built a road to our supply of furs near Garsonia.

1990: Barracks completed in Salamanca; production of the Pyramids has begun.

1950: The production of the warrior in Niagara Falls is changed to that of a chariot.

1910 – 1870: Infrastructure improvements.

1830 - 1790: Our warrior reaches the goody hut to the NE of Niagara Falls. He defeats one barbarian warrior and finds maps of the surrounding region. On these said maps, our scholars have located what appears to be a land bridge to another island. Maybe, new and advance peoples lie somewhere in the heart of darkness (jungle). The city if Niagara Falls completes its first unit of chariots and begins production of its next unit.

1750: Our researchers have discovered horseback riding and will now focus their attention on iron working. We can now build our UU.

1725: Our chariot defeats a barb encampment NW of Niagara Falls and returns 25 gold to the Empire. Our science rate is lowered to 8-%.

1675: Barbarian warriors are defeated near the land bridge.

1650 – 1625: Another period of infrastructure improvements and exploration.

1600: We spot another goody hut south of the Babylonian city of Nineveh; it contains a conscript warrior. The temple in Garsonia is complete and it begins production of a settler. The chariot at Niagara Falls is complete and is sent to Salamanca, for what I now realize as no apparent reason. Niagara Falls begins production of a mounted warrior.

1575: The Emperor Thiazi abruptly resigns from his post. No one knew who or what caused him to resign but it is reported that he said, “I will rise again.”

Well my reign did not pan out quite how I had expected it to. The French are still here, though to be honest they seem like they will be a push over and a combined force of warriors and chariots/mounted warriors should do the trick, we only advanced one tech (horseback riding) and our expansion has pretty much halted. I am now building one settler but it may be wise to change Niagara to a settler. I could have produced more settlers but Ike really wanted us to get the Pyramids, so rather than pump out settlers from our capital, it is constructing the Pyramids. Anyway, you will probably want to change the science rates but I had raised them to ensure that we secured horseback riding in my reign and we are well on our way to getting iron working, though I fear iron may not be prevalent in our territory. We should continue the road to Paris, since these cities will soon be ours and we should hopefully run into some new and maybe even advance civilizations to the east, France and Babylon are not going to help push us through the tech tree, so maybe someone else can. Good luck to the next person and I hope that I didn’t drag us down too much.

Here is the actual attachment. I need to learn to review my posts before I hit the submit button.

Never played with the Iroquios, should be interesting.... I am downloading now.

King Cdub takes the thrown and realizes two things- expansion and maybe a just a tad more military might be helpful...

1550 BC- Workers are ordered to construct roads, a road all the way to Paris seemed to be already in construction so the Great King allowed it to be resumed (this could be useful in pipeling are troops there quicker, and to set up a trade, I have never actually done this before so it was worth a shot.)

1525 BC- Workers are still constructing roads, this does leave our mainland lacking in improvements though...

1500 BC- The King ordered a chariot to the outskirts of Paris.

1475 BC- Our chariot crushes a roaming hethen in a smashing victory.

1450 BC- Our chariot discovers a barbarian encampment and sends the tribe up in flames, the chariot becomes a vet., and 25 gold is added to the coffers.

1425 BC- A worker is suspected of being under the influence of Babylonian crack and goes the wrong way  , it would 25 whole years before the worker gets back on track.

1400 BC- Another chariot and warrior are ordered to the outskirts of Paris, Joan doesn't suspect a thing.

1375 BC- A Mounted Warrior is completed in Niagra Falls, he too will be sent to the outskits of Paris, a settler is ordered on the prospect of expanding Iroquios greatness. ;)

1350 BC- Another glorious warrior is ordered to the outskirts of Paris.

1325 BC- A settler is constructed in Garsonia, an archer is ordered, but the great King will change to a Mounted Warrior when the road links the city up.

1300 BC- The King has ocnference with the military council to find out that 2 chariots and 1 mounted warrior are on the outskirts of Paris in position, there are 2 warriors not far behind. Cdub tried to quelm the civil unrest in Niagra Falls, luxory boosted to 20%.

1275 BC- A quiet period where summer BBQ's and Saturday nights at the local little league park were all the rage:D .

1250 BC- We obtain Writing from the Frech, we give them Horseback Riding, 75 gold, and contact with the Babylonians. Iron is discovered, a source is close to Niagra Falls! Cdub instructs his scientists to search for Polytheism, so Monarchy could be the next one after.

1225 BC- The road connecting Garsonia is completed, a Mounted Warrior is in the works.

1200 BC- A worker is ordered to chop down a forest near Salamanca so the shields could go towards the Great Pyramids.

1175 BC- Another quiet period, Pick up Sticks is played by all the kids, and canoe contests help pass the time.

1150 BC- A settler is produced in Niagra Falls, a great temple is ordered to be constructed.

1125 BC- Science is cut by 20%, we now are not losing any money. King Cdub orders the construction of a new great city called Grand River. Although there are no rivers around it is the Civ's first coastal city, and the iron is in their culutural border :goodjob: . An Incan tribe decides to teach our emissary Philosophy.

1100 BC- Bill Cosby does stand up comedy to keep the masses chuckeling, E.T. tops the box offices.

1075 BC- Another Iroquios settler is just one move away from building another great city. 2 chariots, 1 mounted warrior, and two warriors are in position just outside of Paris. Our workers are very close to connecting Paris with our Civ.

Well there are my 20 turns, Not much activity to report. 3 techs were learned ( Philosophy, Iron Workings, and Writing), A mounted warrior was constructed all units were sent to the outskirts of Paris with the exception of an exploring warrior. It has yet to be seen what the two workers building the road to Paris will help in the long run, but I believe the road helped my objectives (military and expansion). So good luck to who is next.... :king:

Thazi, and anybody else looking to join. POST your intention to play before playing. I notice the game was DOWNLOADED twice, but nobody expressed interest in playing This could create a mess with two players doing the same time frame.

Oh, of course I am playing my game :)

The son of Lee the Founder takes over. He shall be known as General Lee. He is please to see others love wonders, and that the Pyramids should complete under his rule. His mission is clear, kill the French. Iron source #2, we know they can deplete. He also sees incense, to make our people happy. The science rate is lowered to 10%, as it appears to make no difference. He then shows his evil side, selling the French Philosphy to suck all there money and contact with the English, even though they shall die shortly. We are better then the English, by 3 techs :) We give them Horseback riding and $12 for contact with the Romans and the Chinesse. We establish Embassy #1, with Babylon. General Lee decides it is finally time to take his first turn.

1050 BC - Well Babylon is an idiot, and tries to extort Horseback riding from us. War with Babylon. Niagra falls changed to barracks, and the whip is cracked.

1025 BC - OK, we may doom the kingdom, but war with France :flamedevi: Our mounted Warrior killes the French warrior with settler. We get 2 free workers and our Golden Age. Grand river ordered to build another Warior.

1000 BC - Our warrior defeats a bowman on defense.

975 BC - ZZZZZZZ

950 BC - We defeat a French Warrior. The settler still can't for a town, first a Barb camp next to it, and know and elite Babylon Warrior. We crack the whip again, Niagara Falls rushes a Mounted Warrior. Can't afford to whip there again. We get enough cash, and establish an embassy with Rome. They are trying to build the Pyramids, 47 turns.

925 BC - ZZZZZZZ

900 BC - Our mounted warrior earns his worth, whip into being, then kills that elite warrior. We can finally build our next city. A French warrior tries to ambush a different mounted warrior, and we laugh in his face. The best news of my reign so far, the Pyramids are built. I hope to take advantage of our golden age and start the Oracle. Garsonia builds a mounted warrior, and starts another.

875 BC - ZZZZZZZ

850 BC - Attack on France really begins - Victorious Mounted warrior promoted to Veteran, Paris is taken along with 5 gold. Leeville is formed in honor of our great general.

825 BC - Another embassy is established - with the Chinesse. Bejing is a decent production city, but to close to another. The Chinesse have loads of silks.

800 BC - Our warrior in Babylon territory continues to be chased. Not doing much, but Babylon hasn't come our way either.

775 BC - Our first casualty - A barb kills a worker. The chased warrior defends against another Bowmen, where he started is journey :lol

750 BC - More casulties :( The barb defeat our defender in Niagara falls. Mounter warrior just one turn away is zapped. Garsonia whips out a barracks. 2 spearman die in Orleans, but the chariot falls to kill and archer. General Lee states: No real loss, for the Chariot is already out of date.

730 BC - Garsonia begins building a spearman. If an attack comes from Babylon, this will be it. I hate the patch. Orleans is destroyed :( I hate respawning civs. Another Orleans is spotted. Niagara falls changed to settler. Target is Orleans old location, and 2 incense. Grand River begins a spearman.

710 BC - The final embassy is formed with England.

690 BC - We destroy the Carib barb camp for $25. These are probably the ones that attacked Niagra falls.

670 BC - The chased warrior finally dies. Babylon may come our way.

650 BC to 630 BC - ZZZZZZZ

610 BC - Defeat a French archer.

Summary - Grand River is not a great town - just keep producing Military. We need to get spearman defending our cities. Keep the settler escorted - it should form Incense town. We are just a handfull of turns from Oracle - We may get it! Paris and Grand River (with Iron) about to connect to our road net.

I had posted my intention to play but I edited that post and replaced it with my summary. I will be careful not to do that again.

The second reign of Emperor Thiazi was of much more note and importance than his first. We gained three new technologies (philosophy, mathematics and map making), we exterminated the hated French and we have built up a mighty army for the next emperor to thwart the Babylonians. We unfortunately fell short of goal of having both the Oracle and Pyramids at Salamanca but after losing out on the Oracle to the Zulu, Salamanca went into high gear producing much of our military. The emperor added two new Iroquois cities during his reign and he has at least two more settlers on the way. He felt that while expansion was important, we could gain a lot more cities through military conquest.

610 BC: The Emperor Thiazi returns from the east, pledging to make the entire world understand the power of the Iroquois Nation. His first act is to position troops to take the French city of Lyons and it was so.

590 BC: The former French city of Lyons is taken and razed (not my choice) but at the cost of one our great mounted warriors. Terrible news! The dreaded Zulu have completed the Oracle five turns ahead of us; there are no new wonders for Salamanca to construct.

570 BC: Our troops march on to “new” Orleans and our Golden Age has finally come to an end.

550 BC: Salamanca has completed a mounted warrior and begins training for the next group of mounted warriors.

530 BC: The Emperor noticed a massive Babylonian attack force approaching Garsonia and he wisely decides to make peace. It costs us philosophy and I believe 50 gold. We will deal with the Babylonians later but we were not in a position to fight a war at home and at France. France seeing potential weakness attempts to sue for peace but their cries fall of deaf ears.

510 BC: The whipped was cracked at Grand River and a spearman will be completed shortly. We have completed a temple in Paris and Paris will now begin construction of barracks (we do not need barracks in Paris anymore but I will let the next leader decide what to do with the shields). The spearman is completed in Grand River and they are asked to start training another group of spearmen.

490 BC: Two warriors at Salamanca are upgraded to swordsmen at the cost of 80 gold, they will then be sent on to Garsonia where we will amass our Babylonian Attack Force. The city of Allegheny is funded near the old site of Orleans and it brings incense to the empire. Allegheny begins construction of a temple. The warrior stationed at Niagara Falls has been refitted as a swordsman. Another mounted warrior is complete at Salamanca; they begin training of more mounted warriors. A mounted warrior is complete at Niagara Falls and they too begin production of another group of mounted warriors. The whip was cracked at the stalled city of Garsonia and a mounted warrior will be complete in one turn.

470 BC: Our diplomats have purchased contact with the Egyptians from the Chinese for 20 gold. They then sold Philosophy to the Chinese for 50 gold. (This was a somewhat of a mistake but I was playing quickly, so they happen sometimes) We sell our territory map to the English for their territory map, 8 gold and 2 gold per turn. We then sell the English our world map and 40 gold for Polytheism and Mathematics. (I could have gotten those two techs for just the world map but I am always attracted to per turn gold) Our scholars are now researching a new form of government known as Monarchy. (I looked into upping our research rates but the few turns gained were not worth the money lost) A mounted warrior is complete at Garsonia; they start production of another group of mounted warriors.

450 BC: A period of eerie calm.

430 BC: Another mounted warrior is rushed at Garsonia; they will continue to pump out mounted warriors.

410 BC: We purchase a Roman worker at the cost of 30 gold. The mounted warrior is complete at Garsonia and they begin production of more mounted warriors.

390 BC: The calm before the storm.

370 BC: The road to Leeville has been completed and the final French city of Orleans has been captured! The French are now no more and we gain another worker who immediately began production of a road to civilization.

350 BC: The troops that were used to attack the French are sent to garrison at Garsonia. Garsonia will be the launching point for our war with the Babylonians. (By the end of my reign we have approximately 15 offensive units, 5 swordsmen and 10 mounted warriors) Our diplomats have purchased map-making from China for Philosophy and 10 gold. A mounted warrior is rushed at Garsonia and they begin training of another group of mounted warriors. A swordsman is complete at Salamanca and they now focus their attention on producing another mounted warrior.

330 BC: Rome declares war on the Babylonians! (The next leader should look into allying with Rome and we may be able to wipe out the Babylonians. We have more than enough offensive units and if they are fighting a two front war, we should be able to get some relatively easy gains) A mounted warrior is completed at Niagara Falls and they begin amassing a group of settlers.

310 BC: The warrior garrisoned at Garsonia is upgraded to a swordsman. Grand River has completed another spearman and now focuses its attention on the construction of a galley.

290 BC: A swordsman is completed at Salamanca and they begin producing a mounted warrior. The barracks at Leeville have been completed and they are now producing a group of settlers.

270 BC: Rome offers us their territory map for ours; I renegotiate the deal and also get 4 gold; it is not much but it is still nice to have.

250 BC: We have purchased an English worker for 30 gold.

230 BC: The warrior at Leeville is refitted as a swordsman. The galley at Garsonia has been rushed. Salamanca has completed a mounted warrior and begins production of another. The Emperor Thiazi retires feeling that he has done all that he can for the empire and that his successor will do even better things.

170bc - Settler left Salamanca.
150bc - Settler left Niagara falls. Worker left Salamanca
130bc - The Babylonians placed a city in the wrong location, so I declared war. We've destroyed Nippur.
110bc - Settler left Leeville.
50bc - Settler left Garsonia. A Babylonian troop (2 warriors, 3 bowmen) was destroyed. Cattaraugus was founded.
30bc - Oil Springs founded.
30ad - Eridu was destroyed. Tonawanda and Mauch Chunk were founded.
170ad- Kishwas captured. Peace seales with the Babs.We received construction, two workers and a territory map.
190ad - The Americans built the Great Library. The chinese got to the place I was going to settle. We should crush them (I'm a bit offensive today). Got Monarchy from Egypt.

We lost very little in the war. The next player should decide what to do with the settler I didn't move. I don't think we should become a monarchy. Research Code of Laws, then Republic, and then become a Republic. We'll lose less with a single period of anarchy. Good Luck!

"250 BC: We have purchased an English worker for 30 gold."

I am glad to see other players like to do this. They may work at 1/2 rate, but they are still worth it. Plus, early in the game, it can really cripple the AI.

I am playing my game again.

Kendter the boring takes over. The city named for his ancestors is insult to our family name. Work is switched to a Spearman. How dare they build the most useless unit of a Catapult. Our population is #1, though some of our other rankings are weak.

Good news -
Babylon / England / Rome have no Iron or Horses
Egypt / China have no Iron

Trading World map to Rome for territory map & $50, China for $7 and terriory map. China back to Cautious. The world attitude toward us SUCKS!

We hold a revolution, for we are religious.

210 AD - China dares to think of sending a settler past Cattaraugus, so we form a wall to stop him.

250 AD - Paris micro management pays, at the city has a decent produciton rate now. Forbidden palace started.

260 AD - Our ego continues, and another city formed with the family name.

270 AD - Cornerville formed - It should be another great production city so close to our capital. Kendtertown rushes a temple.

300 AD - Another Rush job for Kendtertown, barracks.

310 AD - Irragation starts near Allegheny. I want this city to start growing, especially with FP being worked on in Paris.

350 AD - We buy literature from Egypt for $160. Sell Monarchy to China for $140, Code of laws (saves 2 turns) and World Map. Egypt is HUGH! Sell Rome Monarchy for $20, world map and $2/turn. England Monarchy for $6, $3/turn and World Map. Science at 10%, as nothing speeds up Republic.

Summary -
The forbidden palace will take awhile, but once complete we should have a lot of great production cities. Don't stop it.

You have a settler near Paris, and one due next turn.

My focus was increase the number of spearman.
