It’s seemed disturbing to see whole armies equipped with mitril gear .
Replace the mithril working by steel working :

Bronze, copper resource :+1
Iron, iron resource: +2
Steel, iron resource +Steel working: +3
Mithril , mithril resource: +4/+20 magic resistance only for the more advanced units .

From a classical Tolkien perspective, one might consider mithril to be mainly for elven and dwarven warriors. Humans should have to do more than research a tech. Therefore, I would support the idea of replacing mithril with steel for the weapons upgrade. And I would think about adding a mithril weapon along the lines of the Golden Hammer that could be crafted in a Dwarven (or Elven?) Forge. Perhaps an event could award them to human heroes.
